Prayer for Oct. 25th

October 25, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for your great love for us…we thank you for the privilege of being joint heirs of the Kingdom through Christ…we won’t quite understand all that means this side of heaven, but we know it is no small thing to say we are heirs and children of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords…thank you, Lord…thank you for your goodness and kindness towards us and for lavishing your love upon us.

There are many who are with us who are feeling unworthy…who feel shame…who feel “less than”…some have listened to the harsh, hurtful words of others and it has become their inner voice and their truth that they weigh everything against…some feel like they are never good enough… they have felt, rejection, denial and betrayal… some feel like they always falling short… never living up to what they hope to be…or what others expect of them…

Lord, we ask that you would clean out the wounds…erase the destructive mental tapes…help those who need to reshape their view of themselves and their lives…please help each one in need to leave behind the guilt and shame that the enemy has heaped upon them…help each of us to see ourselves through your eyes, words and truth…heal those who are dealing with PTSD and unhealed trauma…please put your hands on those who are afraid to trust…help each person who is praying  to see themselves as a new creation, with the old things passed away…help us to let go of the damaging voices and may we hear yours alone…

Help us remember people like David and Paul who loved you so dearly, but were so terribly flawed…they sinned, but they found redemption…they were used mightily by you…too often people think that you could never forgive them for the things they’ve done or for the thoughts they’ve had…help them to remember all the examples you gave us in the Bible to show that you see past our sin…you forgive us when we confess and repent…you don’t hold our past against us and you don’t hold against us the things that others have done to us…you love us and long to restore us and heal us and to redeem all the enemy has used against us to destroy us…

Lord, help us to lay all our hidden pain…all of the hidden hurts…all of our failures…all of the things that have made us feel inferior or weak…all of the things that make us feel ashamed…all of the things that have destroyed a healthy sense of self-worth…all of the things that have caused wounds that are not healed…we pray for healing Lord…we pray for cleansing…we pray that people would be made whole so they can live in the fullness of your joy and strength…help each one to heal so only scars remain…scars of wounds that no longer hurt, but remind us of your healing touch, your grace and your redemptive power…

Lord, may today be a new beginning for those who want to heal and move forward. Shine your light in the dark corners of every heart and mind…the enemy loves to keep things hidden in the dark, but your light casts out the darkness and there is healing and hope in the name of Jesus…Lord…please meet each need, spoken and unspoken…we thank you for healing us, delivering us, for redeeming our trials and traumas and for giving us new life. We look forward to all that you will do. In the name of our beloved Savior Jesus, we ask these things. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love,

Thank you, Debbie, for sharing the words of “Light”, to ‘lighten’ our burdens, to ‘light’ the way so our focus is on “Him”, who is the “Light of the World” and who is with us all the time!!! God Bless you!!!
