Prayer For Nov. 5th

November 5, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

How grateful we are for this new day…for this chance to pray together…  may we never take for granted what so many are denied to do …how grateful we are that you want to spend time with us…help us never to see reading the Word, having fellowship or praying, as merely obligations…help us to look forward to those times…make a fire burn within us Lord, so we won’t settle for less than your best for us…so we won’t settle for things of this world, instead of eternal treasures…

Lord, some who are praying are fearful because of what is happening  with their finances and they fear  for their future… they are fearful because they don’t see a way out or through their situations…some are fearful because they are suddenly on their own or starting over…some are facing health issues and losses that seem overwhelming and more than they can bear..many are filled with questions, worry and anxiety as they think about all the hurt, pain, loss and the possibilities of what could go wrong…  all the bad things that can happen… but your command over and over, is “fear not, for I am with you”… “fear not for I have overcome the world”…

You promise that when we pass through the waters they will not overtake us…that when we pass through the rivers they will not sweep us away…when we walk through the fires we will not be consumed… when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death we don’t need to fear evil…you tell us   we need not be afraid you will be with us through these things, comforting us  and guiding us…you didn’t promise that we wouldn’t go through things…you didn’t tell us that we would always be spared or delivered from trials…but you did tell us you would walk with us  always and never leave our side…we are not to fear because you have overcome the world…you are great ,our Lord and God, and so worthy to be praised…help us to learn our lessons well…how much grief and stress could we save ourselves if we just learned to rest on your promises and trust without question?…help our doubt and unbelief, Lord…

Please speak peace to each of our hearts..may your Holy Spirit fall afresh..Lord, help us to remember that your word says “We KNOW all things work together for good for those who love you” we don’t have to guess, doubt, question, or think that only applies to others…that is your promise to us and your promises matter… your promises are the same yesterday, today and forever and they do not fail…your promises should change the way we think, believe and live…help us to live out the things we say we believe…help us not to doubt or waver when we pray…help us not to see prayer as just a means to get what we need…help us to see it as a time to hear what you would have to speak to us… help us to see prayer as a privilege to enter into your presence and fellowship with you…help us to not settle for a shallow relationship with you, Lord…may we experience all we can in our spiritual lives here on earth…help us to remember this earth is not our home and we are only passing through…we praise you and thank you Lord for being with us this day and for going before us. In the name of jesus we pray. Amen

May you feel the Lord’s nearness today!

In His love,

Debbie

All day long I felt the “nearness of the Lord” – more than ever before – which was just amazing, and then to read your prayer at the end of the day, with the exact words that I sensed -all-day-long – thank you so much for your constant encouragement of “faith” and “trust” in your words!!!! God Bless you, every minute of every day!!! Blessings and Love to you, Debbie!!!! Amen!!!
