Prayer For Nov. 28th

November 28, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for being our burden-bearer. We thank you that we do not have to carry our burdens, pain or grief alone. Help us to learn to release things to you more quickly and easily. Even though we know that you are there and you tell us when we are heavy-laden to come to you and we will find rest, too often we cling to things we should let go of…too often we feel our shoulders stooped with the weight of things you never intended for us to bear…too often we pray to release things, only to take those difficult things upon ourselves again. As the hymn says, what peace we often forfeit and what needless pain we bear because we do not carry everything to you in prayer…

Father, we don’t want to stay stuck…we want to learn our lessons well so we don’t keep repeating the same things over again…help us to let go of old thoughts and destructive patterns that keep us chained and imprisoned…Christ set the captives free…we are not bound…Jesus has broken every chain and unlocked every prison door, we need only step out and walk in that freedom that He bought for us…please give us your wisdom, knowledge and discernment. Help us to see your light that guides us. Help us to walk on the path that you have for us…help us not to turn to the left or the right. Help us to not be distracted by false teachings or lies. Help us to know your truth and to receive it and believe it. Help us to die to our old selves so Christ’s ways become our first nature…help us to overcome the stumbling blocks that trip us up…help us to break the old patterns and habits that hold us back…help us to lose the word impossible from our vocabularies with the one exception…nothing is impossible for you…help us to cease striving against you and your ways…help us resist the enemy and the lies that keep pulling us back and sucking us in, saying that things are hopeless, that things will never get better, that we can’t make it, that our circumstances are more than we can take…what we can’t do on our own we can do through you…when we come to the end of our reserves, we find yours…help us to begin to tap into your power, strength and might and help that become our first reaction instead of last resort.

Lord, please bless my friends. Help them to see themselves as the mighty warriors that they are in you. Help them to see their pain and losses through the lens of faith and the light of the cross…help them to know you better than they knew was possible….help them to find your peace that passes all understanding…please help them to lose their doubts, fears, anxiety and worry and help them to find your joy that brings strength, life and hope. Please meet their every need, Lord and comfort them. Please bind their wounds and bring healing. Thank you for hearing our prayers and we thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen

May God bless you abundantly friends!

In His love,
