Prayer For December 7th

December 7, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Our Father,

We thank you for your goodness…we thank you for your grace and your power and authority over every situation we face. We thank you that you have already made a way…a plan…a purpose for each of us…we thank you that at this moment, you have figured out the where, when, why and how of every financial need. You are still the God who turned water to wine, miraculously gave the widow oil to sell, placed a coin in a fish’s mouth, filled the apostles nets to overflowing…if we will just trust you, we can have no fear or doubt that you will provide…you have promised to provide and you are faithful…help our unbelief Lord…

Help us to trust that for every illness, every hardship, every loss and every strained relationship, you have a plan to overcome evil with good…you have a plan to take what the enemy has meant for harm and will redeem it for our good and your glory…you are not done doing miracles…you are not done shining your light in the darkness…you are not done making a way in the wilderness or making the crooked paths straight…you are just looking for people who are willing to trust and obey…willing to step out in faith and say “here I am, Lord, use me”…

You are still pouring out comfort and peace…you are still healing…you are still protecting and encouraging and releasing your power, strength and might into any believer who asks…help us not to shrink back…help us not to cower in fear…help us to keep pressing on and pressing into you, Lord…

Please go before us this week. Fill us with your Holy Spirit. Please cleanse us from our sins and anything that displeases you…help us to be aware of anything in our lives that draws us away from you and keeps us from being the best we can be…help us to be willing to say yes, even when it’s scary…we think of Mary and how terrified she must have been when the angel came to her and told her she would give birth to Jesus…a young woman who would experience something no other woman had experienced…something that would not be understood by others…but she was unafraid to say “yes” to you and her life and all of our lives were forever changed…the apostles, were unafraid to say “yes” to Jesus and their lives and our lives were forever changed…sometimes you ask us to do things that are out of our comfort zones…you ask us to do  things that others won’t understand…sometimes you call us to do things that are so beyond what we can do on our own, just so you can show your strength in our weakness and your power in a life yielded to you…help us to be unafraid and courageous as you work in our lives. Help us to make the most of our days…help us to remember that you are always working behind the scenes and it is always for our good and with our best interest in mind. We dedicate our lives…this day…this week to you, Lord and we ask you to have your way with us that you might be glorified in us and through us. We trust you with our every need and thank you in advance for the blessings that we know are waiting to be bestowed upon us. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

May you feel God’s nearness this week!
