Prayer for Dec. 8th

December 8, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

How grateful we are that you came to bring good news to the suffering and afflicted…that you came to bind the wounds of the broken-hearted and to set the captives free. How grateful we are that you care about every aspect of our lives. You care when we are depressed and sad…when we feel overwhelmed and alone…when we feel afraid and weak…you understand everything we go through, everything we feel…you long to  bring wholeness to every area of our lives…

Thank you Lord for liberating us from the grip of sin and death…thank you for seeing past our failures and shortcomings and loving us unconditionally…Lord, may we not fail you in the day of our testing…may we cling to you instead of things that bind us, hinder us and keep us from living the life that you’ve called us to…you want us to walk in freedom, unencumbered by the weight of fear and doubt…help us, Lord to be set free from the things that we keep hidden away..the hidden sins, the hidden thoughts that creep in of despair, anxiety, worthlessness, hopelessness and feeling defeated…help us to hear your voice above all others…

Help us Lord, to lay hold of every tool and weapon you give us so our souls can prosper…help us to set aside all that would draw us away from you…help us to clean out the wounds that have festered too long…help us to let go of old hurts and grudges…help us to be rid of any thoughts that drag us down or keep us chained to hurtful events or people…you came to give us an abundant life…life that is overflowing with your peace…your joy…your strength…your vision and hope for the future…help us not to settle for less than your best in any area of our lives, Lord…help us not to give up when the going gets too rough…help us to cling to your Word like the life-preserver that it is…may we have a longing for more intimacy with you…may we feel incomplete when we are not spending time with you…may we learn to see our trials as blessings because they make us aware of our great need for you…please draw us into  deeper fellowship with you… help us to remember blessed are those who mourn, because we will experience your comfort…blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for we shall not want…may we hunger and thirst for more of you, Lord and may we find that in you, is the fullness of joy…having more of you in our lives, is our greatest need.

Fill us with your Holy Spirit we pray…please heal us and restore us…Cleanse us from all unrighteousness… please comfort us that we may comfort others and make us a blessing that glorifies you, Lord. May we be instruments in your hands…may we find you in new ways and grow closer to you than we knew was possible. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen.

May you be filled with his peace and hope to overflowing.

In His love,
