Prayer For Dec. 11th

December 11, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearated

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Your word says in Romans that, “The night is nearly over; the day is almost here.” Lord, we know that a bright new day is coming. You are not slow to answer. Your timing is perfect and you alone have sovereign control over all things. It is always darkest before the dawn and you promise to turn our mourning to joy…you don’t just replace the sadness Lord, you turn it into joy. Only you can do that…only you can take the dark things of the world…things like the suffering of Christ on the cross and bring beauty and hope and life from it…you take what is dirty and make it clean…you take what is broken and restore it…you take what was meant for our harm and redeem it…you take the hard and painful things of this world and work it for good…you give new life to those who were spiritually dead…help us to remember the mighty works of your hands and your majesty and power. You are so worthy of our praise and gratitude…

Lord, there are so many who are discouraged today…so many who are aching with deep sorrow and pain. We ask for your Holy Spirit, to breathe on each one. May they feel your presence and the warmth of your embrace… there are some who feel like they are falling apart…like theirwhole world is falling apart…help them to remember that they are held by your hand…  the same right hand that holds the stars in place, upholds them as well. Things  may be changing and shifting and seem hopeless,  but you are the solid rock on which we stand…appearances, emotions and feelings can be deceptive…help us to cling to your truth and take comfort that though feelings and circumstances change, you do not… Please hide us safely in your shelter and guard us from the evil one. We cling to the hope that the day of your return is drawing ever closer and our redemption is drawing near.

Lord, please touch the ill, the hurting, the scared, the lost…may they find your comfort and peace…may they believe and be assured that you are there in the darkness leading and guiding them to the light…so many struggle through this season…may they remember the hope that Jesus’ birth gives us…may they remember that we are no longer lost…we are known, loved and cared for and saved by your amazing grace and that is worth celebrating every day of our lives… may we feel your joy and be warmed by your light and love. We praise you and bow before you, Lord. We thank you for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we can ask these things. Amen.

Blessings be upon you friends!

Much love in Him,
