Prayer For December 13th

December 13, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

W thank you for today. We ask that you would re-charge our batteries with quiet times of relaxation and refreshing sleep that will prepare us for the week ahead. May we fill and replenish our spirits with your Living Water and the truth from your Word. We come with open arms and ask you to fill us, Lord.

We pray for all who need relief from their burdens. Please ease their tension and stress and help them to find helpful ways to deal and cope with it  so it doesn’t take a toll ..may they find your peaceful rest, no matter what is going on in their lives… please help us all to find the place where we can, “let go” and trust you to handle our troubling situations… you handle everything far better than we can…help us to learn how to do our best and be satisfied with that…especially during this busy time of year…  please help us to trust you to do what we cannot… Too often we struggle with expecting to be able to do everything… we think we  should be able to multi-task  and “do it all” and be able to keep the same pace we always did, but it’s not always possible, especially during times of illness, grief and adversity…please remind us when we forget that sometimes you allow things to happen so we will slow down and see things through your eyes…so we will have time to spend with you…so we will stop and hear your voice…so we will have no choice but to face the things that we keep running from…help us to learn our lessons well…help us not to be stubborn or defiant about the things you call us to do… help us to be good stewards with our time and our health…help us not  to have unreal expectations for ourselves or others. We ask you to order our days… please help us with our schedules and to-do lists so we keep our priorities straight and  take care of ourselves … please give comfort and bring peace to each anxious, hurting, overwhelmed  heart…

We pray today that each of us would find time to read your word and spend time alone with you in prayer. May we be led to the perfect soothing words from you for our healing. We ask for  your wisdom and discernment for the answers and understanding we seek. May we gain new strength and your perspective as we enter into your presence and refocus and realign our heart with yours.

Please bless my friends who are praying. We ask that you would meet every need… physically, spiritually, emotionally, mentally and financially. We thank you for being our Lord and Savior…we thank you for taking care of us, for providing for us and for being everything we need. With gratitude we thank you in advance for all you will do in us this day. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen

Blessings be upon you!

Much love in Him,
