Prayer For Dec. 20th

December 20, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

You make all things new. You bring day after night. Spring after winter. Healing after grief. Life after death. All throughout your Word…all throughout nature…we see how change can bring many joyful blessings…but everything is a process…there is a season and a perfect time for everything…

Lord, please be with those who are in a season of change. Please comfort those who mourn and those who feel lost… Please speak peace to those whose lives are in chaos. Please help hope to rise… Help us to remember things like the caterpillar and the butterfly…what looks like the end, is really a new beginning. When you were crucified, it looked like all was lost, but it was the dawn before the morning…you brought new life from death. You make all things beautiful in your time… You waste nothing in our lives. You are the one who redeems and restores and brings beauty from ashes and we thank you and praise you that you have the last word always…

Help us not to resist change, Lord. Help us to have eyes to see the good in the bad. Help our unbelief. May our faith grow to the point that our first response to adversity is, “I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in this situation.” Help our hearts to be  filled with joyful anticipation to see your hand work in our lives and in our world. Help us to   be lights in the darkness, to be the salt of the earth…to be a beacon on a hill, pointing the way to you. May people see you in us and want to know the source of our peace and our strength… We thank you that even though we grieve in this life, even though we have trials and struggles, we are not alone and we have hope because of Jesus. May we have the courage to live what we say we believe…

Lord, may we carry the joy of your birth and  your resurrection every day of our lives…you are more than a season and more than a holiday…help us to celebrate you in our heart’s daily…We give you this day and all that is in it. Please go before us. Help us to remember to make time to take in the beauty that surrounds us. May we take pleasure in simple moments and small victories. We love you, Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Blessings be upon you Friends!

In His love,
