Prayer For Dec. 22nd

December 22, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for this day…we thank you for the privilege of another day to serve you…to be with those we love…to feel your nearness…to be in your presence…

Help us to remember the power that is within us…help us to remember that the battles we face are not our own…help us to remember that we are not powerless or defenseless…help us to remember to whom we belong…it’s so easy to be overwhelmed…it’s so easy to feel tired and weary when our plates are overflowing…it’s so easy to lose our joy…help us to remember that it’s not by our might or power, but by yours…help us to remember that there is nothing more important than spending time with you…when we are overwhelmed and fatigued is when we need you the most…we need to tap into your power source…we need to make the time, when it seems we have the least amount of time, to pause and focus on you…

Fill us, Lord we pray…may our cups overflow with your joy and peace…help us to unplug from the world so we can focus on you and hear your voice…fill us with your Living Water…create a right spirit within us…cleanse us from all unrighteousness…we thank you for the blood of Jesus that makes us white as snow…help us not to lose our sense of wonder when it comes to you…help us to remember the miracle of your birth…the reason why you came…may we be overwhelmed with how much you love us…how much you gave of yourself so we could know you…so we could be saved…so we could have your peace and your power…when we doubt…when we stumble…when we fail…help us to remember that we are loved…we are  understood by you and there is nothing that we can ever do, or not do, that will change your love for us…your love is perfect…your love is unconditional…your love is not about us, it’s about you…you freely give and you want us to freely receive all that you have for us…we kneel before you with open arms and ask you to fill us, Lord…Come Jesus come, we are ready…

Lord, we give you our cares…we give you are pain and hurts…we give you our illnesses, our troubling situations, the things that are beyond our control… our broken relationships, our dreams, our hopes, our fears…please have your way in our heart’s and live’s that we may glorify you…that we may live with your peace and hope in our hearts…we release everything to you that holds us back, that keeps us stuck, that hinders our growth and we ask you to work as only you can…help us to walk in the freedom you give…help us to heal…help us to move forward…help us to live with gratitude and joy in our hearts and  to make the most of our days…we need you Lord…oh, how we need you…we praise you…we adore you…we bow before you and thank you for being our God. In the name of our Savior Jesus we pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Thank you, Debbie, for your amazing prayers. I watch for these every day. You can put in to words that some of us can only feel.

Thank you for your kind words Fran. I read a book by Charles Stanley that said when we have been through trials, it helps us to know how to pray for others. I know in the midst of our trials we can be numb and just in a fog of pain and it can be so hard to pray. I’ve been in that place and I am grateful the Lord can use me to offer hope and encouragement and point the way to Him. Blessings to you!
