Prayer For Dec. 27th

December 27, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Here we are at the beginning of another new week…the last week of this year. The time goes by so quickly, Lord…many here, feel like life is passing them by and they are discouraged …some have been stuck in a dark valley for a while now…many were hoping to have made progress in their circumstances … in their grief… with their finances or with their health… they are not where they thought they would be in life…Some see the turned page on the calendar and are saddened because it means a dreaded date is fast approaching and they are filled with anxiety and dread…

Father, for all who are struggling today…for all who are discouraged, fearful or anxious…we pray that you would rain down your comfort … We ask that through the strife or sadness, that they would see your hand…we pray that we would remember that to you, one day is as a thousand years…you see and weigh everything so differently than we do. Help us to turn things around in our minds…help us think and believe, that we are exactly where we are supposed to be and you are never early, never late, but always on time.

Father, we need a daily dose of hope….a daily reminder that this is not our home, and that our problems and cares will fade away in the light of eternity. Many of us need a gentle reminder that this is the day that you have made and we should rejoice in it … Help us find the joy in the day Lord. For anyone who feels like they have nothing to be joyful about, help them to remember that you, the creator of the universe, love them unconditionally…we rejoice that we never walk alone and you promise to provide everything we need … we can celebrate that you have prepared for those who love you, an eternal home and a future so spectacular, that our minds can’t even begin to comprehend all that awaits…Lord, the enemy seeks to keep us spiritually, emotionally and mentally downcast and focused on earthly things…but you want us to remember that the things of this world will pass away, but your Word, your truth, your promises, your riches, will never pass away. You tell us to not lose courage…that even though our outer man is decaying…our inward man is being renewed every day…that is something to be joyful about!

Help us to seize this day and not dwell on the past or worry about the future, but live this day to its fullest knowing you woke us today, so you have a plan and a purpose for us. Help us to remember your past works and all the times you have seen us through. Help us to be more focused on you instead of our problems or anything we lack. Help us to trust you and your timing and your plan for our lives. We thank you and praise you for who you are, Lord and for loving us so well. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May you feel His peace and presence today!
Much love in Him,
Debbie

Lord isn’t too worried about timing. He makes sure everything falls into place when it should. 🙂
