Prayer For Jan. 16th

January 16, 2016

freedom prayer

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

We thank you for the freedom we have in you. We thank you for the freedom we have to join in prayer and to worship you. We thank you and praise you for the news that Pastor Saeed has been freed. We thank you for hearing our prayers and the prayers that were lifted on behalf of all the hostages who were freed today… Lord, we know that freedom, is not free…our freedom from sin and death came because Jesus gave all for us…the freedoms we enjoy as a country…the freedom to worship freely…to pray openly…to own a Bible… to have a voice and the ability to speak freely….those are freedoms that so many around the world do not have…so many have given their lives for the freedom of others…

Lord, please help us to never take our freedoms for granted…help us to live with an attitude of gratitude every day of our lives for the freedoms that Christ bought for us…we are no longer slaves to sin and death…you have freed us from guilt and shame and we are no longer prisoners of our pasts… Lord, please help us to remember all the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much on our behalf… so many who were brave and selfless and gave their lives and time so others could live their lives freely…

Lord, we pray for all who do not have freedom…for those who live in places where they cannot come and go as they please…for those who are denied the freedom to worship…for those who do not have a voice or what we consider basic human rights…we pray for all who are being persecuted for their faith…we pray for all who are slaves… for those who are  imprisoned falsely … for those who are being held against their will…for all who have been captured and tortured because they do not believe in their captors idealogy…so many  on this earth are not free…help us never to forget to pray…help  us to remember this day when the prayers of so many were answered and Pastor Saeed was freed…we may not always understand your ways or your timing, Lord, but we know that you hear our prayers…help us to not grow tired in well doing…help us to be faithful in prayer for others, knowing that the faithful, fervent prayers of righteous men does much…we will never know this side of heaven the things that our prayers have thwarted…the spiritual battles that have been won in unseen realms…the lives that have been saved spiritually as well as physically, emotionally and mentally…

Remind us Lord, to daily put on our spiritual armor so we can be ready and fight well against our enemies…help us to be mighty prayer warriors for you…help us to cherish all that we have…help us to take nothing for granted and to live bold and courageous lives…Lord, we thank you and praise you for being our God, our Savior, our Redeemer… for being The One who goes before us… for being The God of angel armies who fights for us and who has our backs and best interests always…we thank you that this world is not our home and that one day all people will be free…that one day there will be no more evil or death…We ask these things in the name of our wonderful Savior Jesus. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love
Debbie
