Prayer for Jan. 29th

January 29, 2016

prayer for weary and ill

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Sometimes it’s just hard to get through the day… there are so many responsibilities and sometimes it’s difficult to find the energy or resources we need… Some go to bed at night feeling like they’ve done their best, but it just wasn’t good enough…  they feel like their “to do list” just keep growing and there is no relief in sight for their situation.

Lord, we lift up to you all who are feeling tired and weary… please help all who are in a place of physical, emotional and mental exhaustion… those whose bodies are failing and betraying them…for all  who are in pain or who deal with disabilities that leave them feeling exhausted beyond what most people can imagine or understand… For those who find it hard to do the most basic of daily tasks …  you are there in the midst of our circumstances… please teach each of us how to not be overwhelmed, how to cope and how to let you carry our burdens… Teach us how to accept that our best is all we can do… that it’s all we can expect from anyone, including ourselves… help us to rise up with wings as eagles, so we can run the race before us and not grow weary…

We all need to feel we have a purpose and that we are useful and there are many here who don’t feel they are needed…they feel like no one would miss them if they were gone… some even feel the world would be better off without them… many are just so tired and weary from their struggles, they don’t want to harm themselves, but they are praying for you to take them home… we have prayed for this several days in a row, but I just feel like there are people who are really needing this prayer right now…they feel like no one sees or cares and the enemy has blinded them to the truth through a veil of despair…Lord,  please breathe new life and hope into each tired, weary  and discouraged heart…may they feel you like a cool breeze on a warm night…may they feel embraced, loved and cared for and may they find your strength to to see them through until they can see you and feel you again. You are there in the darkness… you are there during the difficult days as well as during the long, lonely nights…Holy Spirit, we ask for you to comfort as only you can.

Lord, we all face battles, big and small… help us to remember that the victory has already been won…help us to live our lives in light of that truth…help us to remember that you fight for us and anything you allow has a divine purpose that often we will not understand this side of heaven…may we grow stronger in your knowledge and grace… we cling to you one day at a time, Lord…today, we give you our lives…we give you our needs…we give you our pain, hurt, fatigue and raw emotions and we say “take it all, Lord and draw us close to you today”. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

You are so very loved,
Debbie
