Prayer For Feb. 14th

February 14, 2016

Valentines Day Prayer

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

On this day there are so many who are lonely…so many who would like to be with someone but are single….so many who have lost their loved ones to death… divorce …estrangement … illness…Alzheimer’s…dementia… addictions, or traumatic events… There are many who are watching their loved ones in their last days and every day is painful as it draws them ever closer to saying goodbye …so many are grappling with deep heart wounds and missing what used to be or never was…

Lord, you know the desires of our hearts. You know our innermost longings and you see the hurts, scars and tears that no one else sees… you hurt when we hurt and you are full of compassion… but you ever so gently keep nudging us… trying to keep us moving forward, because you know there is healing ahead…there is hope ahead…there are breakthroughs ahead and you don’t want us to get stuck in the valleys we are in…you don’t want us to give up…you want us to keep looking up, keep pressing in and trusting you because you see the picture that we can’t yet see…

Romantic love is a wonderful gift… but the love we truly can’t live without is your agape love. May thoughts of your love be a healing, soothing balm on sad and troubled hearts today. May your Holy Spirit fall afresh on the hurting… instead of longing or pain, may they be filled with a sense of calm, contentment and peaceful rest… May they be reminded of precious memories that bring smiles instead of pain…may they sense your presence and the warmth of your Holy Spirit.

Please bring people across our paths today that can use a smile or a word of encouragement. Use us to be your hands and feet to show your love to the lost and lonely. Please bless us so we can bless others, Lord. The things of this world will pass away, but the three things that will always remain are faith, hope and love and the greatest of all is your love.

We thank you for the many ways you lavish your love upon us, Lord. It is said that the world will know we are Christians by our love…may we be so filled to overflowing with your love that it splashes onto everyone around us. We love you, Lord and we so appreciate your unconditional love for us.  We thank you that we have a Savior in whose name we can pray. Amen

Hugging you all with my prayers! Happy Valentine’s Day Friends!

In His love,

It is my hope to see a revival of love in His body soon! I long to see every division healed and every resentment dispensed with. Someday, hopefully soon, we can hold ourselves up to the biblical direction to hate the sin and not the sinner!
