Prayer For Feb. 23rd

February 23, 2016

prayer from Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

Thank you for this new day. We commit to you our lives, our families, our friends, our jobs or lack of jobs, our worries and cares, our appointments and deadlines, our homes, our finances, our pain, our health, our shortcomings and all the things we need to carry out today. By turning over and committing these things to your hands, we can now rest in you, knowing that you have control of everything that could stress us out or cause us to worry, be anxious or fearful. May we stay in this peaceful place of rest and not try to take these things back from your hands.

May we grow in your knowledge and grace, Lord. May we long for intimacy with you. May we hunger to learn from your word. May we have a longing that nothing but you can fill in our lives. You are the answer to our every question and need. Help us to not grow weary when we don’t see the answers we long for in our lives.

The Bible  speaks of your faithful servants like Abraham, who never saw the promises you made to them fulfilled, yet they trusted you. They believed you never go back on your word, so they kept believing and trusting and doing what you told them to do, knowing their ancestors would see your promises fulfilled. May we have faith and trust in you that listens and believes, even without seeing. Speak to our hearts, Lord and give us courage that moves forward in the darkness. Help us grow our faith so we don’t become discouraged when times are hard and the road is long. Give us times of refreshment so we can carry on and keep moving forward, knowing that we will be rewarded when our time is done.

May you be the first thing we think of when we arise and the last thought when we go to bed. May we learn what it is like to pray without ceasing and carry you with us throughout  the day.

We love you and thank you for being so patient with us. Thank you for seeing past our imperfections to what we will be. Thank you for being our refuge from the storms, our peace in the midst of chaos, our comforter in our pain, our defender against our enemies, our healer of body, mind and spirit and for loving us like no other. We thank you for our Savior, in whose mighty name we pray, Amen

Blessings be upon you and your day!

In His love,
