Prayer For March 5th

March 5, 2016

prayer from Debbie Kay

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Dear Savior,

You came to this earth with the mission to redeem us and to pay the price for our sin. You know what it is like to suffer. You know what it is like to feel rejection and to be looked down upon. You faced that and so much more… You took upon yourself all of our sin…all of our pain, our disfigurements, our imperfections and shortcomings, our losses, our grief, and our shame…because of all you went through we  can say we have a Savior who understands all that we go through.

We don’t have to question if you understand our pain… When people cry out in frustration and through tears and say things like, “Lord, where are you…Don’t you know what I’m going through?”….The answer is “yes” you do…you understand  every tear we cry and every hurt we carry. We so often lose sight of this fact because we can’t see past  what’s in front of us. You don’t ask us to carry any burdens ourselves….you offer to do it for us. You want us to have your joy and peace in the midst of the storms…

The Bible says you were a man well acquainted with sorrow and grief. As you were beaten and tortured you didn’t say a word. You took it all in silence, so we don’t have to. Through your spilled blood and bruises, we are made whole and are healed. Through your pain, you brought forth new life for all of us.

Lord, may we truly grasp the depths of your love for us. May we get a clear picture of just how much you care and how much you were willing to endure for us. May we feel your nearness and understand that there is no one who will ever be more intimately acquainted with every detail of our lives. There is no one  else who will fully understand our pain, grief or burdens… There is no one who can ever carry the weight of our pain and remove it like you can. You died to set us free, Lord. We have great suffering in this life, you told us it would be that way…but you always make a way to endure it all…

Lord, there are many who are hurting… may they find you as their comforter and the One who sustains them. Please send your Holy Spirit to minister to each hurting heart … Help us to receive all that you did for us on the cross… Help us to live in the freedom that you sacrificed and paid such a heavy price for. Lord, we are humbled beyond words as we kneel before you today. Thank you for who you are and for all you’ve done for us. In your most precious name we pray, Amen.

May you feel His nearness and love today!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

As I read this, 3 days after your posting, I “do” feel “His nearness and Love”, thank you, Debbie. I was meant to read this today, as you guided me to be more “humble” to feel His “comfort” and “sustenance”!!!! Thank you so much, Blessings to you, every day!!!!!!
