Prayer For April 22nd

April 22, 2016

prayer from Debbie Kay Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for this day…we thank you for seeing us through this week. We thank you for your grace that has sustained us…some days and weeks are harder than others and many who are praying with us have had very hard weeks…some have been dealing with natural disasters, others with the death of loved ones…others are struggling with their health or loved ones who are ill…  many are just struggling to hold on as they deal with financial pressures, anxiety and things like depression…

Father, we know there are many things we deal with in this life that do not have quick fixes…so many things we deal with others don’t understand and so we feel isolated and alone…help us remember that we are not alone, Lord…help us to remember that you understand everything we face and deal with…help us to remember that there is a purpose for the pain you allow and you promise to bring beauty from brokenness…when we are broken, it is a chance for you to become more alive in us… there is less of us and more of you…more of your strength…more of your power…more of your grace…more of your peace as you fill us…we are never more  aware of our need for you than when we feel empty and broken…oh, how we need you Lord…

Please bless everyone reading this prayer…please, comfort them…heal them…make them aware of your nearness… fill them with your peace…meet their financial needs…draw them close to you and fill them with hope and encouragement…breathe new life into them…for those who are overwhelmed by stress…please go before them…may they feel tension release from their body even as they are praying this moment…

Lord, help us to remember that you are greater than anything in this world…help us to stand for the things we know are right, even when the world is telling us we are wrong…rise up within us, Lord…please pour your spirit out and cause a revival in this world…may that revival start with each of us…may we grow in you, in every way we need to grow and mature…remind us that you have equipped us…we are not defenseless…we are not defeated…we are not without hope…we are not without resources…remind us in your Word of the many times your children faced overwhelming trials and odds and how they overcame…

Please make roadways in the wilderness and streams in the desert…we pray that the lost will have their eyes opened to who you are ..we ask for your strength and for provision for this day…may you be glorified in us and our circumstances. No matter what is going on may we be able to say, “this is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice in it”.  We give you all that we are and hope to be. We lay our burdens before you and we offer up our praise for who you are and all you do. We thank you for our Savior Jesus in whose name we pray. Amen

Praying you feel His comfort, nearness and strength today friends!

Much love in Him,

I just realized something. Every time I hear someone say “more of you and less of me” it bothers me. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong until just now. It’s “more of you and more of who you made me to be!!” This is not a human equation where we only have 100% to work with. This is a divine equation where there are no limits!
We have a unique contribution to make to life and we are not diminished by our sanctification, but honed and perfected and lifted up! Humility does not mean feeling worthless and inferior. We would do well to focus more on the potential and opportunity aspect.
