Prayer For June 18th

June 18, 2016

prayer from Debbie

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

As we come to you today, we ask for your help with the problem areas in our lives. Some are dealing with health issues beyond their control, others are struggling to sleep at night, others are trying to eat right and exercise and are finding it difficult. Some are trying to find the balance between being tender-hearted, yet thick-skinned. Many are struggling to let go of past hurts and wounds… some are trying to overcome bad habits, while others are struggling to juggle everything that is on their plate.

Lord, whatever we are struggling with, we ask for your help, guidance and wisdom. Please help us to find the balance in all things. Please lead us to anything that will help us in the areas that we  need to improve. Help those who need motivation and self-discipline. Help us to train our minds to look at the positive instead of the negative… to have more faith and less fear… to stress less and trust more…help us to learn to take every thought captive and to listen to your voice above all others.

Lord, we ask for healing…mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Help us to be good stewards with the things that we have been given…help us to remember that our bodies are a temple and our hearts, your home. Help us to take care of ourselves to the best of our abilities.

Please help us to manage our priorities…we all have so many demands on us and there are always so many things vying for our attention. Help us to make you and our families our first priority. Help us to learn to set up boundaries and to learn to say no when we have to…help us not to fear failure…help us to put in proper perspective the opinions and judgments of others…help us to do our best and leave the rest in your hands…help us to accept that there are going to be people who judge us harshly and wrongly and there is usually nothing we can do about it…help us to learn to be content knowing that you know the truth, and that is the most important thing. We all want everyone to like us and to be accepted as we are, but we know that not even Jesus was liked or accepted by everyone and we are told that we can expect the same treatment. One day you will make right all the wrongs and shine your light of truth on every situation.

We offer ourselves up to you and ask you to help us be the best we can be…help us to overcome all that holds us back from living life to the fullest…help us die to ourselves that Christ will be glorified in us. Thank you for hearing our prayers and for your patience with us. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you!

In His love,
