Prayer From July 13th

July 13, 2016

from Debbie Kay

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

The Bible has many words to describe you and your many deeds. You are love, light and holiness. You are full of mercy, gentleness, righteousness and goodness. You are father to orphans, a champion to widows, you make homes for the homeless, you provide for the poor and those in need and you lead prisoners to freedom. You are the God who provides and sees all… and day after day, you carry us.

You are all-powerful, avenging, a consuming fire that opposes the proud and is unequaled. You are our protector, our fortress, our defender, our redeemer, our salvation and our hope. Lord, you are everything we need…you are always present, never distant, ever faithful and we are nothing without you.

Lord, we want to know more about you…we want to be strong in our faith and our knowledge of you. We want to see things filtered through your Word and your eyes. Help us not to give people and situations the power to destroy our peace and sense of security… help us to no let people’s hurtful words and judgments define us… help us to remember how you view us… help us to focus on our promises and not our problems… our biggest obstacles and trials are no match for you. May we start living in the fullness of all you have for us…

Thank you, Lord for all that you are and for all that you do. Thank you for seeing past all that we are now to what we will be one day. Thank you for loving us so passionately and so completely. May we go out this day filled with joy because you call us beloved…may we be filled with peace knowing that you hold us and all of creation in your hand.., may we be filled with hope because of Jesus and all He did for us… may we be filled with confidence that you are working all things together for good … We are so blessed and grateful to be called your children. In the wonderful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May God’s peace consume you today!

Much love in Him,
Debbie Kay
