Prayer for July 22nd

July 22, 2016

prayer from Debbie Kay

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

As we come together, we ask that you would help us to take our thoughts captive… many people tend to think “worst case scenario” when they have a problem…they fear the worst, before believing the best…they see the pitfalls, instead of any potential opportunities…they see the negatives, before the positives. Help us to seek your perspective and insight in every situation and circumstance in our lives. May trusting you be our default reaction, instead of doubt ow worry. May faith grip us instead of fear. Help us to stand, when we want to run. Help our first response to be “God’s got this”, instead of “what am I going to do?”

Help us to always be mindful you are working in every situation… in every circumstance… in every heartache… in every loss…Before things even happen, you have a plan on how to work things for our good…You know exactly how to help us to triumph and overcome and how to get us where you want us to go. We  are never destroyed. We need never despair. Our hearts are being shaped and molded into something that will not be easily crushed and when you are finished with us, we will be a shining reflection of our Savior.

Lord, we all struggle with at least one thing…sometimes we struggle with many things at once…but you are working in each of our lives…You are our Divine Physician, binding our wounds…healing us as we face our hurts, pain and losses in life. Lord, we thank you for the provision that is coming…for the healing and restoration that is coming… we thank you that we can rest in you today… we are not alone or abandoned … may any sense of isolation we feel be re-framed to be seen as  a time to find sanctuary and alone time with you… Lord, may we feel your closeness this day. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May the promises of God fill you with peace and comfort!

Hugs and love to you all,
Debbie
