Prayer For Aug. 23rd

August 23, 2016

prayer from Debbie Kay, hope for the broken hearted

Hello,Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father…

At this moment, we want to set aside every thought and distraction so we can be wholly present before you. We ask for your Holy Spirit to be upon us and to fill us. May we be filled with joy and wonder at the blessing of being able to come boldly to your throne of grace…thank you Lord for never turning us away…for never being too busy for us…for never being unconcerned about the things that concern us…we thank you for your loving heart of compassion towards us…

Lord, we ask for forgiveness of our sins.  We are so far from who we need or want to be…  Please heal us in every area…please help us to be more like Jesus…please help us to want you above anything in this world.

Today may we see you and feel you around us…may we know fellowship with you, like we’ve never known…help us to remember and memorize your words and engrave them on our hearts…Help us to cling to your promises even in the darkness. Help us to remember you promise…

You will give us rest…
When we seek you, we will find you…
You hear us when we call to you…
You are near to the broken-hearted…
You bind our wounds..
You direct our paths…
You will provide our every need…
You will give strength to the weak…
You will encamp your angels around us…
You will be a father to the fatherless…
To be our help in times of trouble…
To be our fortress and refuge…
That no one can snatch us from your hand…

We ask for your power to overcome any and all obstacles, fears, negative thoughts, or any adversity that may come against us this day. Help us to remember, Lord, we are not alone and you are with us always, even unto the end of the world. May your words encourage us, strengthen and empower us and fill us with hope. May we be people after your own heart… men and women who bring glory and honor to your name. Thank you, Lord for your faithfulness… for your unconditional love…for seeing past all that we are now, to what we will be. In the precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May the Lord’s face shine upon you today!
Much love in Him,
Debbie

Dear Elma- I’m sorry what you are dealing with. Here is just one link that you can share with your husband…you should be forewarned that just because you show him anything doesn’t mean he will suddenly stop doing all of these things. I will join you in praying for your husband and marriage. I have been in very similar shoes and unfortunately, we can’t make someone change… we can’t make them see what they don’t want to see…we can’t make them do the right things…begging and pleading for them to act right does not help…God will not force anyone to do what is right…but we can pray that they will feel God’s prompting to repent and that God will work in your husband’s heart and life and restore and heal your marriage…I know where you are at is very hard and very sad and you so want to fix things and have things go back to the way they use to be…let God be your strength…seek Him constantly to have His wisdom to know how to act, what to say, to know what to do…trust God that He is in control and no matter what happens, God is with you and He knows your heart and your needs and God will remain faithful and take care of you no matter what.Sending you a hug and praying for everything you shared.
