Prayer For Aug. 28th

August 28, 2016

prayer for hurting

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

Some days it’s hard to know where to begin when praying to you. There are so many needs, we could pray for hours and still not cover them all…but you already know the needs, Lord…and so it just feels right to thank you for another day of life…to thank you for our blessings…to be grateful for all that is right even when so many things are wrong. We are grateful that there is nowhere we can go, that you will not be with us. Your eyes are on the sparrows and you are watching over each of us…

Father, for everyone who is grieving today…for all the people sitting by a bedside in hospital rooms… for those who are holding the hands of loved ones in hospice…for those who have just buried loved ones and the shock is wearing off and reality setting in… for those who are heartbroken and they don’t know how to move forward from their pain and losses…Father, please touch their lives as only you can. May they remember the words of Psalm 23 and picture you leading them through the dark valley, to a place of rest where you are comforting and restoring their souls.

Father, there are so many who are in battles on multiple fronts…Father, we pray for your peace…we pray for your healing…we pray that each one will feel your strength rising up in them. We ask Lord, that you instruct, lead and guide as they search for answers, healing, hope, relief, rest and deliverance. We thank you that we can run to the shelter of your arms and know that you are with us in all we face…we are not alone, we are not defenseless and we are not without hope…

Father, for each need…spoken and unspoken, we lift them to you today and we lay them on your altar and we trust you for the answers and provision…  Forgive us of our sins, Father. Cleanse us and purify us and fill us with your Holy Spirit…renew a right spirit within us that we might serve you gladly and with hearts of thanksgiving. We love you Lord and we ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

May God’s face shine upon you today!
Much love in Him,
Debbie
