Prayer For Sept. 5th

September 5, 2016

prayer from Debbie Kay

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Please help us to live with excited anticipation for the things you will do in our lives. You promise to deliver…to provide…to meet our needs…to give us your peace…to bind our wounds…to hear our cries…to never leave or forsake us… if we take you at your word, we know it’s not a matter of “if” you will fulfill your promises, it’s just a matter of “when”. Your timing is perfect. You are working in the midst of our trials. Our waiting time serves a purpose…we look at Joseph and see all that he went through and the many years he languished in difficult circumstances so you could put him in a place to raise him up and redeem what the enemy meant for harm and save a nation…help us to learn from what you have done with others, so we never doubt that you are always working behind the scenes in our lives…help us remember that faith is confidence in things that are not yet seen…

Please, help us to rest in you while we wait. Help us to let go of our own time tables and to trust that you always have our best interest at heart…you have a plan  and it is not just a good plan, it is the best plan…help us to learn our lessons well so we won’t hinder your work or delay it. Please show us if there is anything in our lives that is hindering our prayers and help us to grow into the mature Christ followers you want us to be. Help us to wait well…help us to make the most of each day…help us not to dwell on the past, or squander today with thoughts of the future…help us to realize we are at this very moment, held in your hand and if you wanted us to be somewhere else, we would be there…help us to turn our questions of “why” into “what now”…help us to glean everything you want us to learn and experience from our present circumstances… help us to put into action all the things you want us to do right where we are at…help us to bloom where we are planted until you move us along on the path and calling you have for us…

Please forgive us for our impatience and frustrations. Help us to see the events in our lives through your eyes and to seek your plan and your vision for our lives instead of our own. We thank you, Lord for all you have done and all you are going to do. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Praying blessings of peace upon you!

In His love,
