Prayer For Nov. 9th

November 9, 2016

Hi, Friends, this is a little different post than usual. I’m combining two posts that I made on facebook today. I just felt led to share the prayer in the photo above and to share this message with you all today…

As believers, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We are called to be salt and light and point the way to Him. As Christians, our daily prayer should be to see as He sees…to seek His wisdom and to love with His love… to be full of His compassion, grace, comfort, mercy, forgiveness and hope.

This is such an important time to be sharing God’s life-giving truth and love… our words and deeds can be a healing balm for a deeply hurting and divided nation. I believe we are here for a time such as this and there is a calling on Christians to intercede in prayer like never before…for the world, for our countries, communities, friends and families…for our leaders…for the lost, the hurting and those without hope…for the persecuted, the forgotten, the marginalized and for those who have no voice…for truth, righteousness and peace to prevail… to pray against evil… for deliverance and healing….

Prayer changes things…faith can move mountains…love and kindness can build bridges and change lives for the better…I think it’s important to remember what the Bible says about love…this is from the AMP version…

Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. Love never fails [it never fades nor ends].

It is my prayer that the church and every believer will rise up and see it as a divine calling to spread the love of God and the hope that He gives at this crucial time. This song has been on my mind a lot the last couple of days…I pray the words will encourage you…

In His love,
Debbie Kay

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

The after the election prayers is beautiful and so appropriate. Can you spell miracle correctly and repost as I want to post this on my fb? Thanks!
