Prayer For Nov. 23rd

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

The holidays can be such a hard time. We lift up all who are feeling alone, sad, depressed or like they don’t have much to celebrate. We pray for those who are grieving, or missing someone…we pray for all who are ill or have loved ones who are ill…we lift up all who are hurting and all who are heavy-hearted.

Lord, you are the God of all comfort…the God of compassion…our tears are precious to you…the molecular structure of our tears changes depending on if we shed happy tears, tears of sorrow or even when crying from an onion…our tears contain our DNA… our pain can be seen in our tears and the tears we shed are unlike anyone elses… your Word says you keep track of our tears and collect them…everything that we go through matters so much to you that you take note of it… so one day you can redeem every tear we’ve shed…Jesus was a man of sorrows, well acquainted with grief. He wept…He feels what we feel…he understands what we deal with and all we go through…He understands when no one else does…thank you Lord for your compassion and your nearness…we thank you for your assurance that one day you will wipe the very last tears from our eyes and there will be no more crying. How we look forward to that day!

Lord, help us to see the blessings in the midst of our struggles… help us to remember that the trials of this life are working in us an eternal weight of glory… please wrap your arms around all who are struggling  this week and assure them of your nearness…we thank you for your goodness, kindness and faithfulness…we thank you for pouring yourself into us so we might endure with hope in our hearts. Please go before us this day, in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
