Prayer For Dec. 12th

December 12, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this new day and for keeping us safe through the night. Lord, we ask that you would go before us this week. Please give us strength and energy. We pray for all who are having a hard time…many are missing loved ones…many have heavy hearts because of things that are happening within their families…many are trying to do the extra things that come with this season, and they are struggling health wise …for those with financial troubles, they are feeling the heavy weight of providing for their family…for many, they are feeling more isolated and alone than any time they’ve ever  known…

Lord, you know us…you see what others don’t…you know our deepest fears, hurts, longings and pain…you see the internal and physical struggles that no one else sees…we thank you for your watchful eye that is upon us and that your thoughts are for us…we thank you that even when we feel alone, we are not…

Lord, as we go out this day, we want to give you all the things that are hard…all the things that seem impossible…all the things that make us sad…everything that is beyond our control…please take our burdens in exchange for your yoke which is gentle and light…please help us to rise above all that tries to steal our joy and peace…help us to enter your presence with praise for who you are and all you’ve done…refill us, renew us and restore us with the joy of our salvation and the hope of all that is to come…remind us that your grace is enough for this day…your strength will sustain us this day…we don’t have to worry about tomorrow…you are already there.. today, you will be our refuge and our strong defense that will protect our hearts and minds against anything we must deal with…

You have told us that this life would be full of hardships and sorrows, but you have assured us that you have overcome these things…we have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated…we often don’t know what to do, but we don’t give up…we may be persecuted, but you won’t leave us. We are hurt but we are not destroyed… we constantly experience the death of Jesus in our own bodies, but this is so that the life of Jesus can also be seen in our bodies…may these words speak life, peace and hope into us this day. Please do in us, and for us, what we cannot do for ourselves. We thank you that we can ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

May you feel His peace and nearness this week friends!

Much love in Him,
