Prayer For Dec. 27th

December 27, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for knowing what is deep in our hearts…our desires, our fears, our insecurities, our failures…we thank you for your patience, your mercy, your compassion and kindness…Lord, please take away anything in our lives that is not helpful, healthy, or productive. Please show us anything in our lives that draws us away from you. Help us to may attention to what thoughts we entertain and help us to take every thought captive. Help us not to be consumed with worry, fear, grief, anxiety or negative thoughts. Help us to be rid of any sinful actions or thoughts that we think are just normal and innocent, but are actually harmful… help us to shutter off the areas in our minds that the enemy uses to plant seeds of doubt or sin. Help us to not be conformed to this world. Please renew our minds, Lord and make us more like Christ.

Lord, all that we are…all that we hope to be…all that we want in this life…we offer up to you… please don’t let us waste what precious time we have on things that don’t matter or that aren’t your best for us… may your Holy Spirit convict us, lead us, prompt us and stir within us the direction we need to go and the paths we need to be on. Soften our hearts, Lord…help us not to struggle against you…may our hearts hunger, thirst and long for the things of you and not the things of this world.

When we think of the apostles and all they accomplished in such a short time, we see how singularly focused they were…they were driven to share that Jesus was the answer to every need…they lived their lives knowing that the things that they said and did mattered. They followed Christ’s example…may we follow His lead as well. Lord, help us to make the most of our days…and to take nothing for granted. Make us hungry for more of you. Please use us…use all that we’ve been through for your glory. May people see you in us. May we trust you and love you more with each passing day. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love,
