Prayer For March 18th

March 18, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

You see the many who are dealing with chronic pain and illness, the ones who are in dire financial situations, the ones who are worried about their children and loved ones, the many who are having to start over due to circumstances beyond their control. You see the lonely and isolated, the many who are grieving and broken-hearted, the ones who cannot sleep at night and every person who is dealing with depression, fear, anxiety and feeling overwhelmed. You know how many are dealing with multiple things all at once…

You know where each of us are at… you know us by name, you know the number of hairs on our heads…Your Word says your thoughts for us would number more than the grains of sand… may we find comfort and may our heart’s be at rest knowing that you never sleep or slumber and you are listening for all who call upon you. May we be at peace in the midst of storms big and small, knowing that you are in the boat right beside us and if you choose, you will calm the storm, but more importantly you will always calm us in the midst of the storm. Lord, if there is anything that is hindering our prayers, please show us, so we can confess it, deal with it and be in right standing with you.

Please help us to see beyond our suffering to what bigger things you might be doing.  Help us to wait well, as we seek the answers to our petitions… There’s so much we don’t understand…it’s so hard to suffer…it’s so hard to watch those we love suffer…but we are blessed because you are comforting us and pouring yourself into us in the midst of all we face. We will endure and overcome with your help, just as the countless others who have gone before us. You are the God who is The Source of every comfort, consolation and encouragement. You comfort us in every trouble and affliction, so we can comfort others who are in distress and trouble.

Lord, help us to be open-minded to how you will answer our prayers… help us to remember that you always have our best interest at heart…when our faith feels small, help us to remember that it only takes faith the size of a mustard seed to move mountains. Thank you for going before us and standing beside us in all that we face. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

May you feel His nearness today friends!
Much love in Him,
Debbie
