Prayer For Nov. 5th

November 5, 2017

Hello, Friends. Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we come together today, our hearts are heavy as we hear of the mass shooting at a church in Texas…people who gathered together to worship…people who could never have imagined what the day held in store for them when they went to church…Father, please comfort all who have lost loved ones…all who are affected in this small community…all who were witness to this tragedy…all the first responders and medical staff  …may your healing hand be on all the injured…may people find you to be their source of strength and hope in the midst of such a horrific event.

Father, at times like this we are reminded of who our enemy is…we are reminded that we fight not against flesh and blood, but with the forces of evil and darkness…Jesus defeated him, the war is won, but our adversary is trying to inflict as much damage and loss, pain and suffering while he can…help us to stay vigilant…may tragedies like this remind us to pray for those who don’t know you…may we not grow weary, as we persevere and try to overcome evil with good…we grieve with those who grieve, but we do not grieve as those who have no hope and that message is so vital at times like these…may these events remind us to be prayer warriors and intercessors in this world…may we remember that we are to be lights in the darkness that point the way to you…you are the source of hope, peace and comfort that the world needs in the midst of the violence and tragedies this world is increasingly encountering.

Father, we ask for your grace and mercy and for your Holy Spirit to be poured out on your people. We thank you that your light shines brightly in the darkness and the darkness is not dark to you…thank you for being our refuge and healer…we are grateful that you are near to the broken-hearted and that you promise to bind our wounds…we thank you that there is coming a day when we will never have to deal with sin, evil, grief, loss or death again…we are grateful for Jesus and all He made possible for those who believe…we thank you that we have a Savior  in whose name we can pray. Amen.

May you feel the Lord’s nearness friends.

In His love,
