Prayer For Dec. 9th

December 9, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We lift up to you today all who are discouraged  because they are not in the place that they want to be…please lead and guide them to the things that will help them move forward …help them not to compare themselves to others, but to only look to you, as you are the only one that we should be trying to emulate…  Help us to be patient with ourselves and with others, as we are all works in progress… we all are made so differently and our experiences are all so different and all those things factor into who we are and how we do things.

We lift to you the weary and all who are feeling defeated…all who are feeling discouraged and all who are trying their best and they just don’t feel like it’s good enough… we ask for miracles and breakthroughs. We ask for your Holy Spirit to minister, encourage and comfort… we ask that you remove any negative influences  that are holding people back or discouraging them.

Not one person, other than Jesus, has ever got things perfectly right…everyone fails and falls short and has missed the mark…but we are not our failures, short-coming or mistakes…we are yours… and you delight in us and call us beloved… all you are looking at is our heart…our intent…our trying our best…our wanting to please you… where we are weak, your grace abounds. Where we stumble, you are there to pick us up. You believe in us when we don’t believe in ourselves…

Thank you for being such a loving, kind and gracious Father who knows us and our shortcomings, yet loves us unconditionally and without hesitation. May your spirit overwhelm us as we pray…please renew right thinking  within us…help us to remember all of your past works and how far we have come…help us to remember that Christ is in us, He’s working through us and we will remain works in progress until we take our last breath… By your power we will keep growing and maturing in Jesus and by His might and power you will help us to persevere and overcome until you call us home. Thank you for your faithfulness…In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May you be filled with His hope and peace!

In His love,
Debbie
