Prayer For Dec. 11th

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We are so grateful that you hold the keys to set us free from the bad experiences in our past. We thank you for making a way, so we don’t have to become captive to our current pain or circumstances. We pray to have the courage and strength to leave behind all that threatens to hold us back…whether it’s painful memories,  unrelenting sadness, addictions, abusive people, sin or harmful desires. We pray we will not settle for less than your best. May each of us be willing to say today, “I want to heal, no matter what it takes… I want to experience all God has for me as His child.”

Please don’t let any among us lose sight of the fact that this life is temporary… please help those who want to give up …help those who find it too difficult or overwhelming to make changes or to let go of habits, pain, people or things that are harmful…please help us to remember that we don’t need to have strength within ourselves … we just have to call on you and it’s your strength that will enable us to do what we can’t on our own and it is your guidance that will allow us to find  places of safety, serenity and healing.

Father God, help us to not be stubborn or only want things our way. Help us to trust and believe that your ways and plan are always best. Help us not to resist the opportunities that you put before us to help ourselves just because they aren’t the answers we desire…or because they are packaged differently than we were expecting. Help us not to squander our days wishing for things that can’t be, or shouldn’t be. Please give us your wisdom and insight so we know what things we can change and grant us the ability to let go of the things that we are powerless to change. Help us to hear your voice and to obey it.  Help us to heal, grow and  be unafraid to step into new uncharted waters. We know you are with us and if you are leading and guiding, then we will end up where we need to be and with blessings we can’t begin to imagine.

 Help us to cast off burdens we weren’t meant to carry and emotions and feelings that are not helpful…may we walk in the freedom and peace that you offer. May we find rest and shelter in the safety of your arms today. In Christ’s name we pray. AmenMay you feel loved and secure in Him !
