Prayer For Feb. 2nd

February 2, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

In this life, we face situations that we don’t like and don’t want to be in…when things are really hard,  it can feel like we are in an endless dark tunnel where fear, anxiety and desperation are our only companions…please help us during difficult times to trust that you are there with us whether we can sense your presence or not.

You have promised to be our Shepherd who leads and guides us. You don’t just dispatch someone to rescue us, you are our Rescuer and Deliverer…You are THE VOICE crying out to us, “Follow me, I am here, listen to my voice. I will lead and guide you.” We’re told that your sheep hear your voice and listen…that you know them and they follow you…you are always calling out to us to tell us the way which we should go. We may feel lost, but our feelings are not truth, you know exactly where we are and how to lead us.

May we find comfort in your Word during our times of struggle and uncertainty…may we claim your promises…may they not be just something we read, but may they become the life-line that pulls us up out of the muck and mire of hopelessness, despair and grief…we’re told your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light on our path…you have anticipated all we will face and all we will need…you are the conscientious parent who has planned ahead and thought of every worse case scenario, every contingency plan, every possible need and you will faithfully move heaven and earth to make sure that not one scheme of the enemy will triumph over us…you are a good, good father who is always on guard, your ear is always attentive and your watchful eye is always upon us…you never sleep or slumber and you always have our best interests at heart…you love and care for us and you just ask us to trust you… help us to remember that you see everything that we can’t…you understand all that our minds can’t comprehend… you know the answers before we even ask the questions. No one who abides and trusts in you is ever lost, alone or without hope.

May each one praying feel your comfort. We look to you this day to be our strength, refuge and source of peace.  We love you, Lord and we are grateful that we can come to you in Jesus’ name. Amen

God bless you friends!

Much love in Him,
