Prayer For Feb. 17th

February 17, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Dear Heavenly Father,

In your Word, we are given so many examples of how to do things. We learn from Christ’s example how important prayer was. We learn that even Jesus wept. He was well acquainted with sorrow and grief. He became tired and had to go off by Himself to spend time with you and rest. He turned to you when He was anxious and overwhelmed…

We are told that the Bible is our sword…it is our defense against doubts, fears, anxiety and every attack that the enemy might use against us. The Bible gives us hope when we feel hopeless. It is truth to stand on…it reminds us of your power and promises and who we are in you…it is our source of encouragement…it reminds us where our strength and hope come from…

When Jesus was tempted He used the words, “It is written”…even Jesus used your Word as a weapon to defeat the enemy. Please help us to have a hunger and thirst for your Word…help us to overcome the things that distract us and keep us from reading as we should…it is our life-line, especially when we are hurting, yet it’s so easy to turn to people and other things instead of you and your Word. Please help us to become disciplined with our time so we make spending time in the Bible a priority…help us to listen, read and find ways to let your words and wisdom become embedded in us to renew our minds and transform our hearts. May your Word truly be a lamp to guide our path. May it be a beacon in the dark night that points the way to you and reminds us of your love, your goodness, your promises and your faithfulness.

There are so many who are not allowed to own a Bible…to do so brings imprisonment or death…help us to never take for granted what is made so easily available to us…may we treasure it as much as the believers  who wish they could own one…how blessed we are that you care about us and have not left us defenseless… that we are more than conquerors through our blessed Savior and Redeemer. Please pour yourself into us that we might become more like  Jesus….may others see His light in us and be drawn to you. It’s in His name we ask these things. Amen

Praying blessings over you friends!

Much love in Him
Debbie
