Prayer For May 25th

May 25, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

You see each person who is feeling lonely, isolated, unloved, unappreciated, forsaken or abandoned…you see the tears cried during lonely nights…you feel the pain, the anxious thoughts and fears…you hear the cries of our hearts and know the deep longings that no one else knows about…

Please touch and comfort all in need…thank you for being that soothing presence that sits silently beside us through the long days and dark nights. Thank you for being our constant companion…thank you for holding us up when we feel too weak to face another day…thank you for giving us the strength to keep putting one foot in front of another when we would rather just lay down and never get up…help us to remember that we are pressed on all sides, but we are not crushed…we are distressed, but not in despair, we are persecuted, but not forsaken;  we may get knocked down, but we are not destroyed and we rise again with your help…nothing will prevail against us because of Jesus…when we wait on you, we will gain new strength…your rod and staff will comfort us as you lead us beside still waters and restore our souls…

Our struggles and difficulties remind us that this is not our home and that better things await…healing awaits…the fullness of your joy awaits…seeing Jesus face to face awaits…the end of sin, death, loneliness, rejection, harsh words, emptiness, despair, depression, anxiety, fear and worry awaits… please be our strength and help us to keep pressing on…help us to remember that one day we will stand before you so full of your love, peace and joy that we have no words in our vocabulary to describe what that day will be like…

Thank you for the promise of heaven…thank you for the glimpses of heaven you give us in this life and all of your promises that assure us that you are with us always and that we are loved, cared for and held firmly in your grip and under your watchful eye. We love you, Lord. We are grateful that we can come to you freely in Jesus’ name. Amen

May you feel His peace, presence and comfort today!

Much love in Him,
Debbie
