Prayer For May 28th

May 28, 2018

Hello,Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Many have  lost their lives through the course of history as they protected their homelands and their loved ones…as they made a stand against tyranny and evil men…and in the pursuit of freedom and justice. Today we honor their sacrifices and their willingness to lay down their lives for others… we honor their memory, their bravery, their courage and their valor…

Please be with all who are missing loved ones today. May they feel your nearness, peace and comfort in the midst of their pain, grief and loss. We thank you for your promise to comfort those who mourn.

We lift up to you all who have loved ones in the military and for all who are deployed. Please meet their every need…may they find your strength to carry them and your peace to replace their fears and anxious thoughts on the hard days… Please bring everyone home safely, and put a hedge of protection around those who are in harm’s way.

We also lift to you all the veteran’s who are remembering their fallen brothers and sisters today. We pray for healing, comfort and provision for all who are in need emotionally, mentally and physically. May they receive the treatment, care and honor they so deserve.

This day is not about political differences…who is right or wrong, or a time to debate if war is ever the necessary course of action. This day is to remember the men and women who died too soon and left loved ones to mourn their loss. We look forward to the day when there will be no more war, no more pain, no more tears, no more being separated from loved ones…no more death. We thank you there will be a day with no need to protect anyone from evil or harm and we will be reunited with all who have gone before us. We thank you for all we have to look forward to because of all that Jesus gave. We thank you that we can ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

In His Love,
Debbie
