Prayer For June 8th

June 8, 2018

Hello Friends! Here is the daily prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Some days are just so hard and frustrating. People have differing opinions and ideas even among believers. It’s amazing how we can see and hear the same things and yet our perceptions and interpretations are so different.  The enemy is always working to cause division. This is nothing new. Paul spoke about this in his writing to the Philippians.

Please help us not to get hung up on divisions and quarrels. Help us to have the mind of Christ and to always be looking to Him as our example in all aspects of life. Help us to have patience and compassion. Help us to try to reach out to those we don’t understand to find common ground. Help us to be aware of the lonely and those in need of encouragement or help. Help us to be tuned into anyone who might need an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on…to anyone who is sending subtle signals that they need help…Help us to see beyond any barriers people use to keep others out. Help us to be your hands and feet to those who can be rough and abrasive. You didn’t turn anyone away Lord…help us to see  beyond the rough exteriors to help nurture the gem that  is inside everyone.

Give us wisdom to realize who is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You say we should be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove. We ask for you wisdom to know how to do that. Help us to be discerning and aware so we can avoid those situations that will bring us down, stumble us or  sidetrack us from the journey and path you intend for us. Help us to be wise stewards with our time and energy so we don’t waste any time on senseless conflicts or disputes.

Please draw us closer to you so we can hear your voice. May our waking thought in the morning and our last thought before we fall asleep be of you. Please be with all of our friends and family and keep them safe and meet their needs. We ask for your blessing and favor to be on us and our households. We pray for those whom we love who don’t know you, that they will have their hearts and minds opened to see clearly who you are.  Please go before us this weekend and pour out your comfort and grace upon every hurting heart. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen

Blessings be upon you my friends!

Much love in Him,
