Prayer For July 17th

July 17, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Father,

It’s our fervent prayer  that we will  grow and mature in our faith… we want to have a relationship with you that is intimate,  passionate and life-changing. Please forgive us when we don’t make our relationship with you the most important relationship in our lives… please help us to be people lovers but not people pleasers…may it be your approval that we seek most and your companionship we seek first…May we seek you out before anything else in the morning and may our last thoughts at night be of you…we pray that as we draw closer to you, that we will be strengthened and encouraged and be less bothered by things that are going on around us and in the world.

We are like clay in your hands… we are broken down, but not destroyed. Our hearts are being shaped and molded into something that will not be easily crushed and will be a thing of beauty in the likeness of Christ… so many of us here are far from healed and so far from where we want  to be… so many still have what feel like open, bleeding wounds…in our darkest moments may we hold fast to the truth that you are working in us, through us and for us…  we continue to expectantly reach out to you to touch the hem of your garment…we need you… oh, how we need you…please touch us as only you can and in the way you think we need most.

We ask that we might see signs of your nearness today. May we find a scripture that touches our heart, a song that blesses us, a word of encouragement,a sign from you or a new insight into your character that we had never noticed…give us eyes to see and ears to hear you… we surrender everything we are and every hurt, pain, loss and need…we  ask for your Spirit to speak to us and minister to us in the quiet of this moment. We praise your name and lift your name on high… we thank you for all that is and is to come from your hand. In Jesus’ name we ask these things. Amen

May His joy and peace fill your heart today!

Much love in Him,
