Prayer For Nov. 6th

November 6, 2018

Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…

Dear Lord,

You tell us in your Word that you have a plan for us…a plan to give us hope and a future… there are many who are reading this prayer who don’t believe that promise is for them…some have been in a dark valley for a very long time and they have given up hope that things will ever get better…they feel abandoned and forgotten…they feel like their prayers are in vain…for everyone who is struggling today, please comfort them…may they see signs of your nearness…may they remember all the stories and testimonies of how you redeemed and restored so many people and situations.

Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, sold as a slave, falsely accused and cast into prison…his life was hard and what happened to him was unfair, but you had a plan for him through those long dark days and years. The enemy thought he had destroyed Joseph at every turn, but Joseph never lost faith. He knew you were with him… before his brothers had their first evil thoughts towards Joseph, you already had a plan in place to redeem all that the enemy had meant to harm and destroy him.

Lord, waiting and traveling through dark tunnels and valleys is scary, hard and sometimes very lonely… we can feel rejected, frustrated, angry and undeserving of our circumstances…but just like Joseph and so many others who have gone before us, you use those dark uncertain times to teach us to trust you…you use them to show your power and to remind us that there is nothing that is out of your control. Your timing and ways are perfect. You are standing with each of us now and you are longing to lead us and show us your great and mighty works…we pray for relief from physical and mental pain…we pray for provision for every need … we ask for your Holy Spirit to speak peace, bring comfort and give rest to each one who is praying with us.  Please put your healing hand on all who are dealing with depression…may they feel the dark veil that covers them be lifted…may they find strength, peace and comfort for the day and hope for the future.

Please help us to shut out any thoughts that are not helpful, or are not of you. Please help those who are battle weary to find peaceful rest in you so they can recharge and renew their strength. Help us to keep our eyes on you and to write your promises and truth on the tablets of our hearts. May we believe you more than we do our thoughts, feelings or the words of others. Thank you in advance for all you will do.  In Jesus’ name we ask these things, Amen.

May the Lord bless you and the rest of your week!

In His love,
Debbie Kay
