Prayer For Feb. 8th

February 8, 2019

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

You have given us your Word to instruct us, to encourage us and give us hope…may we be inspired today as we think about how a small group of your followers changed the world with the message of who you are. Their lives were not easy. They endured more hardships and suffering than most of us can begin to imagine. They were simple people who you chose to the lay the foundation and the path for Christians to stand on and follow in the thousands of years since they walked the earth. With your help, a little can be a lot…a few fish and loaves can feed thousands with leftovers to spare…with faith the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains…with you, a small group of men who are obedient, can walk around the walls of a city and make the walls fall and their enemies defeated…numbers don’t matter to you…one person with a heart that is obedient and surrendered can do more than we can think or imagine.

Please help us to have ears to hear and eyes to see as you do. Give us a passion to save the lost and to spread the good news so none may perish without knowing you. Give us courage so we can live boldly for you in a world that seeks to wipe out your name and influence. Help us to trust in your abilities, not our own…help us to remember you are not hindered by our circumstances, limitations or lack. May our thoughts be of what you can do and not what we can’t. Help us not to quench the working of your Holy Spirit in our lives because of our doubts or unbelief.  Help us to be excited to be used by you and open to be a vessel in which you can pour out blessings into the world. Use what we’ve been through to help others. Help us to comfort others with the same comfort you’ve given us. Please bless us, so we can bless others.

We thank you for the miracles you are working and for the blessings that are coming. Help us to remember that we can do all things through Christ. Please pour out your Spirit upon us and on believers everywhere. May there be revival around the world. We humble ourselves before you and we ask you to heal our lands. May we all feel your nearness today and be filled with your peace that defies logic or circumstances. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love,
