Prayer For Feb. 19th

February 19, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

You created us like all creatures, to sense fear so we can protect ourselves. Rational fear can be a helpful tool to flee dangerous people and situations…it helps us to survive…but fear that consumes us does damage. It can become a prison of our own making. Irrational fear can steal our peace and joy.  Unhealthy fear holds us back, keeps us stuck and keep us from fulfilling your plans and purpose for us.

The enemy uses fear and worry as a tool to harm us….that’s why you tell us repeatedly in Your Word not to fear, worry or be anxious. You remind us to be brave and courageous because you are with us. Lord, help us to cling to you and to grow in our faith so that faith instead of fear becomes our first response…the safest place we can be in any storm, is by your side. You alone can calm the winds and waves. Sometimes you will calm the storms and other times you choose to just calm us in the midst of the storm…but either way, you are with us…it’s not the absence of storms that give peace and makes us safe, it is your presence that brings peace, protection and safety.

What we can’t do, you can…your courage, strength and peace are ours to experience in abundance when we keep our eyes on you. So, Lord, we give you our fears. We give you the things that preoccupy our thoughts and weigh heavy on us.  We give you our insecurities and our feelings of needing to feel in control and secure. Help us so we are not ruled by our emotions but by your truth and Spirit. Help us to take our thoughts captive…help us to meditate on your Word, truth and promises and not our fears. Help us to live life fearlessly and courageously…help us to be at peace and to be ever mindful that you are on the throne and in control and we have nothing to fear because you ar with us.  In the name of Jesus we ask these things, Amen.

Wishing you a blessed day friends!

In His love,
Debbie Kay
