Prayer For March 11th

March 11, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

Thank you for this new day. Thank you for the privilege of joining together once again in prayer. Your Word says the early church was devoted to prayer…may we have that same desire…may we be people  who are devoted to prayer…devoted to you…devoted to seeing your name glorified on earth as it is heaven.

Help us to see prayer not as an obligation or a time just to ask for what we want or need. Help us to see prayer as a precious privilege where we can hear your voice, spend time in your presence and join with you in seeing miracles happen as we intercede for others… May we not lose sight of how prayer gives us opportunities to see miracles in our own lives…the more we pray, the smaller our problems seem…our burdens become lighter…we trade our worries, cares and anxious thoughts for your peace…these are miracles that can be ours, yet we often don’t reach out to receive them…give us eyes to see things as you do…stir within us a longing for the things of you…

May we never forget the heavy price Jesus paid so we could have the privilege to come to your throne…to pray to you directly and receive your mercy and grace…Jesus’ suffering removed the veil that separated us from you…may we never forget or cheapen all He did for us…may we not neglect the things you’ve called us to do…you tell us that you are near to all who call on you in truth…you choose to be near to us, but so often we are neglectful of you…please forgive us for the times we stay away and have strayed from you…please forgive us for the times when we focus more on earthly things, than eternal things…please forgive us for the times we have neglected to give you the praise, glory and honor you so rightly deserve. Our relationship with you is the most important relationship we will ever have, yet too often we fail to put you first…please forgive us and help us to do better and to be better.

Father, you are Holy… your name is Holy…it is no small thing to come before you…though you call us to yourself…though you call us your beloved children, it is you who holds the keys to life and death and it is from you that we receive our very breath…may we never lose our sense of reverence and awe for you.

May this week find us drawing closer to you…may we remember to fight our battles on our knees…may we persistently and consistently pray and nurture our relationship with you. May we bring you honor and point the way to you in all we think, say and do. In Jesus’ name we ask these things. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love,
Debbie
