HI, Jean! I just copied and shared it from the internet. I don’t know who took the picture. You could probably just print it and frame it, but that would be the best advice I could give you. Blessings to you!

Miss Kay, my name is Cheryl Jones, and I have 2 adult kids that are addicted to drugs….one has a choice of meth, while the other is hooked on pain meds. “Roxeys”…. I have recently lost my father on January 27, 2014…. I need guidance and prayers to keep me strong and make it through each day. I find myself in tears just about everyday, I want my kids to be responsible for their own addiction and stop blaming their father and myself. I have done all I can and I pray everyday for God to do what needs to be done to mskebthem see what they are missing out on. I have got to the point I don’t know myself or how to be happy. I feel like I’m being choaked off and can’t breathe…. please keep us in your prayers. Thank you, and God Bless us all.

    • March 13, 2014 9:11 am

Dear Cheryl, I am so very sorry for the loss of your father and for all that you are enduring with your children. One thing alone would be difficult to deal with. I will pray Cheryl. I pray that you will feel God’s peace and comfort as you grieve the loss of your beloved father and I pray that God will give you peace to trust your children to His care. It sounds like you have done all you can do and though we hurt when we see our children harming themselves, it is one of those situations where we cannot make the necessary choices for them. God loves your children even more than you do Cheryl and you need to focus on you right now. Lay your kids on the altar and commit them to God’s hands. Know that you have done all you can do. Continue to pray for them and set up boundaries for yourself with them and then let God do what only He can do…I know…so much easier said than done…especially when we are talking about your children…but God wants you to find His comfort and peace in the midst of this situation, just like you want your children to find God as well…praying for miracles for you and your family Cheryl. Sending you a big hug!

Hi, Carolyn-I’m so very sorry I’m just now responding to your request. Here is a link with some resources that you can share…I do have some advice and I know you won’t like it, but I feel like I must be honest. It is always best for people to not go directly from one relationship to another…the reason is there is stuff to work through and there needs to be time to heal and when you go from one relationship to another, what often happens, because there is someone there to take the pain away and distract from everything, the wounds don’t really heal right or get dealt with the way they should and they will end up resurfacing later…no one wants to deal with the pain of a loss from a love or the end of a relationship and even though your boyfriend is having a hard time, it feels so much better and easier, to have someone right away to love…at least you are not dealing with feeling alone on top of everything else you are dealing with. I’m not saying he doesn’t love you, or even that you aren’t meant to be together…but I’m just saying that his emotions are clouded right now because of all he’s been through and going through and he needs time to grieve, deal with and process everything. In my experience, it usually causes problems down the road going right away into another relationship. It sounds like you are a wonderful person that is caring, loving and kind, Carolyn and I don’t want to see you get unintentionally hurt. I know what your boyfriend has been through is so very hard and I wish you both the best…please pray about what I’ve shared and see how the Lord would lead you…be open to the idea that God might have you step back and put the romance on the back burner and just make your relationship more like friends and brother and sister in the Lord right now and just focus on encouraging each other and supporting each other in the Lord. If God intends for you to be together, then you will have lost nothing as any good relationship is built on God being the foundation and it is equally important that you are good friends. Praying for you both and praying that God will make everything to go smooth between him and his ex so everything can be over and done with. Blessings and hugs, Debbie

Dear Kay, Please pray for my Mom & me to be together again. One & a half years ago when we were living together, I was her caretaker, she’s 86 yrs old, I tried to keep her from harming herself by taking away her car keys, and there was an argument and the police came. I was arrested and a restraining order was placed by the courts. Its been 1 1/2 years now and she wants to have me home again with her. I too miss her beyond description. I’ve been on probation and go to anger management classes. I have 17 weeks more to go on the classes. I rededicated my life to Christ & was Baptized July 20th. She is contacting probation to get the order lifted. Please pray for us that our lives be restored & placed in God’s divine purpose & plan. Your site and prayers speak my hearts desire perfectly and I thank you for the comfort & wisdom which I receive by reading through them. I ask for your prayers that the court will remove the restraining order as she lives alone without transportation or companionship. We are best friends and I’m truly broken and full of sorrow and sadness. I’m going to Church and bible studies and one on one therapy from the Church to help me deal with all the emotional sorrow I’m facing. I feel so lost and confused, and full of discouragement I can’t seem to overcome this. I trust God’s will and know he works all things out for the good. I know its in His timing as well. But she is 86 and I just pray for reconciliation so we can live in harmony as mother & daughter again.
    Thank you Sincerely,
    Lorrie

    Cherish Love

    • December 31, 2014 4:06 pm

Hi, Cherish- I have shared with audiences with men present. I have shared in music and given my testimony in men’s prisons. I have served as a Chaplin in a hospital where I have gone in and prayed with patients who are men, but I do not teach in a pastor capacity over men and I would never be a pastor of a church for that reason. Blessings to you, Debbie

I am blessed to have found your site! You have the perfect words for what I always seem to need most! My 18 yr old is going through rejection of his heart transplant and I have to stay in Gods word in order to deal with what is to come. A rare type rejection that there has not been a documented case of survival and it has had me so sick physically since last August when it showed up on his 9 month post transplant biopsy. His heart function has been declining and now has coronary artery disease (progressive due to the increasing antibodies. I just can not imagine after the year of heart failures and temporary pump surgeries loosing him. I thank you for your ministering, it is an important part of my life now. I spend many hours a day listening to sermons on youtube, and pray in the spirit. I was curious as to your thoughts on the gifts of the spirit, and wondered if you pray in the spirit. I did an in depth study on the holy spirit because growing up baptist, my church just left out, how I do not know. Paul says that we should seek the gifts and pray in the spirit and in english. Just wondering your thoughts and please pray for Jake Paul of Pelion, SC. My name is Larenda, thanks for what you do.

  29. June 16, 2015 5:58 pm

Dear Larenda, I am so sorry I am just now responding. I did see your post when it ciame in and have prayed for your son and am praying for a miracle for him. There is nothing more difficult than watching your child suffer and having to face the difficulties he has in his young life…I pray you all will feel God’s nearness and closeness. This link pretty much expresses my thoughts on the subject matter you have asked. Blessings to you, your son and family. In His love, Debbie http://www.gotquestions.org/praying-Spirit.html

    • August 29, 2016 3:54 am

Dear Susan, I am so glad that you found me. I am sorry for what you are going through…I have walked a similar path…this ministry is a result of all I went through after my husband left…I know it is so hard at first, but I want to encourage you and give you hope that things will get better…God is faithful…He is strong when we are weak…He promises to be our husband and to watch over our household…He is faithful, He provides, He heals and though you can’t imagine it right now His promises to be near to the brokenhearted and to bring beauty from ashes are true. Cling to Him and He will not fail you…there is much to adapt to when you have been in such a long term marriage…there are many losses to grieve, but just keep clinging to Him…He will not fail and He will redeem all the enemy has meant for harm. Hi Debbie – I also messaged you on Facebook. I found you via a search about hope. I lost my wife to cancer when she was 26 and I was 27. I am now 50 and was just recently able to write a book about my experience, grief, and struggle to move on. It is entitled “Doubly Blessed: an Inspirational Memoir”. My problem is getting the word out that it even exists, thus my Facebook search. Please take a minute and visit my website doublyblessed.net and read the synopsis. IF you deem it worthy, please consider posting about it to your page Hope for the Broken Hearted. I am certain it can offer hope and inspiration to many of your followers. I thoroughly commend you for your work to provide hope to others – I hope, with a little help from you, to be able to do the same. Please let me know your thoughts. May God Bless you. Kevin
