Prayer For May 14th

May 14, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for today…we thank you for the gift of life…we thank you for our mothers and for all who have poured into our lives with their love, support and encouragement…please bless them in ways they can’t imagine…

Lord, you know that for so many, Mother’s Day is difficult…for many their mother is not in their life …some didn’t have a good relationship with their mom and today is just a painful reminder of that fact… for others they are estranged or they never knew their mom…for many their mother’s are in heaven…some are struggling at this moment watching as their mother’s health is declining…for all who are struggling with grief or sadness today, we ask for your peace and comfort to rest upon them…we especially ask for your comfort for those who are experiencing their first Mother’s Day without their loved ones. Lord, please touch each heart as only you can…you are the only one who can truly fill those broken, hurting places.

We lift up to you as well, the mothers who are grieving for their children who are in heaven … for the moms who are without their children for other reasons…for the mother’s who are estranged from their children and grandchildren…for the women who have longed to be a mother, but have empty arms…for the mother’s who have children who are terminally ill or who are dealing with chronic illness, disabilities or addictions…may every hurting heart feel your nearness today and may they find comfort knowing you see every tear that is shed and hear their prayers even when they are so heartbroken words won’t come …you are the God of all compassion and you grieve with those who grieve and you are as close as a heartbeat away.

Lord, we also pray for single parents…the single mothers and the fathers who serve as both dad and mom…it can be so difficult to parent alone…may they find comfort knowing they are seen by you…you see all the struggles and you are aware more than anyone else all they sacrifice for their children… please help them when they are weary and overwhelmed…be their provider, helpmate, source of encouragement and strength…

Thank you Lord, for your unconditional love for us … we pray for every person who feels unloved, unwanted, or abandoned… especially today…we pray they would look to you to fill the empty places in their lives…please remind them that you have known them by name since they were in their mother’s womb… your thoughts for them are more than the grains of sand and they have infinite worth and value in your eyes…we thank you that your unconditional love is the greatest love we will ever know…Thank you for our many blessings…please meet every need, spoken and unspoken and we pray for your blessing and favor to be upon mothers every where. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen!

Blessings to you all!
Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For May 4th

May 4, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

On this National Day of Prayer in the U.S., we join together to intercede for our country, for our leaders and for the world at large. You tell us if we will humble ourselves and pray and seek your face and turn from our wicked ways, then you will hear from heaven and You will forgive our sin and heal our land. Lord, we are humbling ourselves before you and crying out to you…we ask for your mercy and forgiveness… please forgive us for all the ways that we have turned away from you, your truth, your laws  and your commandments…we ask for your divine intervention and ask you to do what only you can to do to get us back on track.

The things that divide us have never been so apparent…there are spiritual battles raging across the earth and in realms we can’t yet see…things that are bad, are being called good and things that are good, are being called bad…we ask for an outpouring of your Holy Spirit…may there be revival in our families, in our communities, in our nation and around the world. May the changes we want to see start with each of us….We pray for those who are being persecuted for their faith…we pray for all who are suffering and in need…help us to see each other through your eyes and may hope rise like a phoenix as we turn our hearts towards you.

We pray against the evil that is rising in our world. We pray for our enemies and all who only want to cause chaos and harm…may they come to know you as The One True Living God…may they turn from their  destructive ways…we know many around the world are having dreams and seeing visions of Jesus and being saved…we ask that multitudes will have their eyes opened to who You are and put You in your rightful place in their lives.

Please heal and restore our land…we pray for peace and that civility, kindness, compassion and “loving our neighbors as ourselves” will be the things that prevail when discussing our differences and trying to bridge the gaps that divide and separate us…we pray that being an honest person of integrity and good character and living a life pleasing to you will be what all of our citizens and those who govern aspire to.

We are grateful that no matter what changes may take place, you remain the unshakeable rock on which we stand…you are the same yesterday, today and forever… your love never ends, never runs out and never turns away…you are ever patient, loving and kind, wishing that no one would perish without knowing you and being saved. Please do a mighty work, Lord. We are grateful that we can ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen
Blessings be upon you and our country.
Debbie

Prayer For May 1st

May 1, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,
We want to start this new week with our eyes on you, praise on our lips and gratitude in our hearts for who You are and all You do for us…The Bible tells us You are the creator of all things…You are our hope…You are the maker of heaven and earth…You are forever faithful…You uphold the oppressed…You feed the hungry…You set the prisoners free…You give sight to the blind…You love the righteous…You sustain the fatherless and the widow…You frustrate the way of the wicked…You are our God forever…thank you, Lord…we are so grateful to know you are with us and for us and there is nothing that can snatch us from your hand…
When we keep our minds focused on you everything seems so clear…the things of this world like fear, anxiety and worry fade away…we can be at peace because we know that you are on the throne and fully in control. We realize it doesn’t matter how big the giants are before us, because we know You stand beside us.

Lord, may we start this week with renewed vision of your power and authority…may we remember that we are yours and with your help, we are well equipped to handle anything that comes our way.   By calling on Christ’s name, we are given the power to vanquish our fears, to overcome the evil one and to overcome any temptation. You are faithful to deliver and faithful to provide and no one can stop you from achieving your purpose and will in our lives.
We ask for your Spirit to fill us and your grace to be upon us. May we find you to be our refuge and our source of comfort and peace.  May your light guide us and your Word encourage us . Please give us your strength and the energy that is needed to do all that is before us this week. We thank you in advance for all you will do.  In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.May your week be abundantly blessed friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For April 30th

April 30, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today we pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who are being persecuted for their faith…we lift up those who cannot pray, worship, or speak your name in public without risk of persecution, jail, or death…please intervene on their behalf …make a way where there seems to be no way for their deliverance…please help us to  not take for granted our freedoms that allow us to worship freely, to gather together with other believers, to own a Bible and to speak your name and praises openly…

Please help us to empty ourselves of things that are not pleasing to you…purge us of things that cloud our vision and judgement…help us to take spiritual inventory to see where we need to change… we often have good intentions, yet we end up not doing what we need to do, and doing what we shouldn’t be doing…we want to spend more time with you…we want to read more…pray more…worship more…serve more… love better… be better …and then the next thing we know, we look back and  see the road littered with good intentions that never became what we had hoped or envisioned…please help us to overcome and persevere and become the men and women you want us to be.

Please help us to let go of the “what ifs”, the “if onlys”, the regrets, the failures, the disappointments, the heartaches and all the things that we can’t change…help us not to waste another day beating ourselves up emotionally, mentally or spiritually…we can’t change the past, but things are not wasted if we can learn from them…help us to extract the lessons from the failures, regrets and pain…help us harvest what we can and let go of the rest so we can make the most of this day and all the days to come…help us to see all we have been through with your eyes…you know what we lack, what will motivate us, what will heal us, how to guide us…we ask for your help to live victoriously, to live confidently as your children, to enjoy the freedom you bought for us, to be full of your peace and aware of our blessings…

Father, help us to make the most of this day and all the days we have left…help us to be still at your feet and find rest in your presence…we surrender all that we are and all that we hope to be and ask for your will to be done. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen

Praying blessings upon you!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For April 29th

April 29, 2017

Hello, Friends! I’ve read of many this week who could use this prayer…

Dear Lord,

We have read in your Word, how the Apostle Paul had such affliction and distress that he despaired of life…we  read about despair and pain in the book of Job and all throughout the Psalms and other books of the Bible… Jesus was known as a man of sorrows, well acquainted with grief… when we hurt in this life, we are in good company.

Your word clearly shows that those who served you and followed you  suffered greatly and their lives were not always easy…the Bible clearly shows that difficult trials fall on those who walk with you…the good news is you walk with us… we do not go through these things alone…you strengthen us…you understand…you comfort…you grieve with us and will always redeem these trials…if not in this life, in the one to come…

No matter where we are today, no matter what we are doing…we are called to do everything as unto you…we  are to seek to please you alone…we are to love you and seek to bring glory and honor to you, even in the midst of our pain, in the midst of loss, in the midst of uncertainty and adversity and anything else that touches our lives…good or bad. We know that a day spent serving you, is better than 1,000 pain-free days serving ourselves. You are  The Source of every comfort, consolation and encouragement. You comfort us in every trouble and affliction so we can comfort others with the same comfort you give us.

There will always be people in our lives like Job’s friends…people who don’t understand but speak as though they do… people who are well-intentioned, but still say and do hurtful things… people who judge wrongly…we have no control over what others say or do…but we don’t have to allow those things to destroy our hearts and make us bitter and angry…we can put up healthy boundaries and give you our wounds and pain and allow you to heal us…we can choose whose voice and truth we allow to become our inner voice…these thinks aren’t easy, but we know we can do all things through Christ.

Thank you for going before us and standing beside us in all that we face…help us not to worry about what others think, say and do…help us to do our best and leave everything else in your hands. We are grateful you know the truth in every situation and one day you will make right all the wrongs and we will all be healed and whole and not have to deal with the hard things of this life again. We thank you that we are never alone and your grace sees us through. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

God bless you friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For April 28th

April 28, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for the work you are doing in each of us. At times it’s difficult to see past where we are at in life … sometimes we forget how far we’ve come, because we’re too focused on how far we still have to go to get where we want to be…we are so blessed that you can see what we don’t see…we often have tunnel vision, but you see the   story of our lives from beginning to end…you see our progress and how we are being changed to be more like Jesus…you know every step that is needed to get us to where we need to be…we often forget that you are purifying us as gold and that is not a quick or easy process.  Help us to trust your character and heart when we can’t see your hand or understand what is going on in our lives.
Help us to bloom where we are planted…show us how to be content where we are until you lead and guide us to the next chapter of our lives…help us to set aside negativity, discouragement, worry, fear and anxious thoughts… help us to take our thoughts captive and to train our minds to shut down thoughts that are unhealthy and unhelpful. Help us to have a spiritually sound mind. Please help us to remember that though at times it seems as if we see things through a dark veil, one day that veil will be lifted and we will see everything clearly…we will understand fully…our minds will be able to grasp all we could not comprehend in this life… one day we will know just how perfect your plans and timing have been since the foundations of the world…

Please go before us today. Please be with our families and friends. Please protect them and watch over them.  Please bless them and meet their every need. We pray for our leaders. We pray for our countries. We pray that those who don’t know you will be saved…we pray for the world to find peace and to find you. We thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
Blessings, hugs and love to you all!
Debbie

Prayer For April 27th

April 27, 2017

Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for the way you comfort  and guide us through the hard things in life…the older we get, the harder life seems to get… we face more health challenges…we see those we love decline in their health…we start losing more and more people that we love… we are faced with responsibilities and hard decisions and sometimes  there are no good options, yet we are required to make a choice…

Lord, for everyone who is facing difficult decisions…for those who are being put into hard situations… we ask that they would hear your voice clearly…give them peace and courage…may they feel your comforting presence and may they be assured that you are with them and will continue to be with them in all that lies ahead…may they find support, encouragement and understanding from others…sometimes people just don’t understand what is involved behind the scenes…they don’t have all the facts…they don’t know the things that we know… often they don’t see the pain and heartache that is involved in the decisions and choices that are being made…may everyone who is in that difficult and sometimes lonely place, find your wisdom and comfort… please be their shield  when they are met with rebuke, rejection, anger or silence…

Lord, one day we will see clearly the times we jumped to the wrong conclusions, the times we took things wrong, the times we misunderstood someones intentions…the times our perceptions were clouded by our wounds and pain, depression, guilt, our own life experiences…help us to have more patience, grace, sympathy and empathy towards others…especially if we can’t begin to relate to the things they are dealing with…too often we don’t really understand what others go through until we walk in similar shoes…

Help us to cling to you in difficult times…help us to focus on you and not the opinions of others..may we be people of good character and walk with integrity…help us to have the strength to do the right things even if they are not popular with others…help us to hold our heads high when we are falsely accused, gossiped about or slandered with lies and untruths…help us to be content with the knowledge that you know the truth in all things.

Please meet each of us where we are at today …give us strength for the day…please fill us with your Holy Spirit and comfort us with your words of truth… be our peace and our shelter from the storms…we pray for our families and friends and ask that you draw them close to you and meet their needs…Thank you Lord, for walking beside us in every phase of our lives…how grateful we are to have you as our shepherd who leads us through every challenge, heartache and decision. We love you Lord and ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Blessings be upon you friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie
