Prayer For May 18th

May 18, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Father,

We know that the enemy comes to rob, steal and destroy…he will often use people as his instruments of destruction…help us to guard our hearts…help us to be wise and discerning… help us to hear your still small voice…help us to learn to trust the intuition that you give us…help us to be obedient and trust that you only want the best for us and if you close a door or tell us “no”,  it’s for our own good…it’s for our protection…it’s because you have something better in mind…

If anyone is dealing with emotional trauma and stress from someone who is abusive in any form…please give them your wisdom to know how to deal and cope with what’s going on…you know the stress, you know the strain…you see the tears, the crushed dreams, the frustrations, the rejection, the battered self-esteem…you know everyone who has been slandered, lied to and cheated on… everyone who has had their reputation smeared and everyone who has been gossiped about…you know each one who deals with someone who is never wrong and always places the blame with others. You see those who are beat down and battle weary…those who are doubting themselves and feeling like their world is turned upside down… please heal hurting hearts…please restore all that the enemy has taken…please help the wounded and injured to find peace…please give them hope that all they have gone through is not in vain…help them to remember that Jesus understands because was rejected, despised, lied about, betrayed, gossiped about and slandered…He knows what it is like to be innocent and yet condemned…

We ask for your help to overcome, Lord…we ask  you to set the captives free…no matter what the situation…for anyone is in any kind of mental, emotional or physical environment that is not healthy…please show your grace and mercy and help them find deliverance from their situations.

It seems as though we have regressed as a society…everywhere we turn there is hostility, anger, division, arrogance, ignorance, contempt and deception…this world so needs you and we know you need us to suit up and show up as prayer warriors for this troubled world…help us to do what we can, where we are…even if we are going through struggles of our own… instead of being overwhelmed, prompt us to pray…help us turn our worry time to prayer time and leave every struggle and upset in your hands.

Please give us wisdom and discernment to know when to speak and when to stay silent… we ask for your help so we respond well when confronted with hard things…help us to make prayer and faith our first response…help us to be slow to anger and quick to pray…slow to speak and quick to pray…may we have your countenance and sense of peace no matter what is going on around us. We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

God bless you friends!
Much love in Him,

Debbie

Prayer For May 17th

May 17, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this new day. Thank you for keeping us safe through the night. Lord, we lift up to you all who didn’t get refreshing sleep…please pour out your grace, strength and mercy this morning…we reach out to touch the hem of your garment and receive from you…we ask you to meet us at the place of our deepest and greatest need…we want only what you think is best for us…we know anything you allow to touch our lives is part of a greater plan that only you can see, but you also tell us to knock, seek and ask and to pray without ceasing… we are asking according to your will to heal, to open your storehouses, to give relief, to protect, to help us rise up and walk forward in this day filled with what only you can give…

Forgive us for the times when we take you for granted…for the times we say we are too busy…the times we put everything else before you…the times we don’t give you the respect and adoration that you deserve…forgive us for the times we disappoint you and let you down…for the times we don’t trust as we should or do the things you ask us to do…help us to do better and be better…help us to ask “what now” instead of “why”…help us not to settle in any area of our lives…help us to make the most of each day and to treasure them as the precious gift they are…help us to fulfill the purpose and calling you’ve placed on each of our lives…help us to live with a “can do” attitude, confident not in our own abilities, but in yours that are within us… help us to remember that one faith filled person can do extraordinary things…help us to have a willing, brave heart that is unafraid to say “yes” to you…you do ask us to do hard things…you do call on us to die to ourselves so you can be resurrected in us…so you can transform us to be more like Jesus…help us to be a shining light on a hill that points the way to you…help us so we don’t lose our saltiness…please renew a right spirit within us and cast off all the chains that the enemy has used to hold us back and discourage us…

We commit our lives to you…we commit this day to you…we commit our families to you and we ask that this day you will be glorified in all that we think, say and do…fill us now, Lord…we come before you with praise in our hearts for who you are and all you do and we thank you that we have a risen Savior in whose name we can ask all these things. Amen.

Praying blessings upon you friends. You are loved!

In His love,

Debbie

Prayer For May 16th

May 16, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you that you for the ability to choose our thoughts and to take them captive …we thank you that we have the choice of what we choose to think about and where we place our focus and attention…we are grateful for the Bible that gives us instructions on how to find peace and rest …help us to meditate on your Word and help us to hear your voice…the enemy is always looking for ways to discourage us and to keep us from turning to you…help us to plant our roots deep into your Word…may your truth and promises saturate our minds so we become impervious to the lies and discouraging words the enemy tries to use to defeat us …you give us the shield of faith to protect us from the adversary’s fiery darts and you give us the helmet of salvation to protect our minds…Your Word brings life, hope and healing, but we can’t just be hearers of the Word, we must be doers as well…we have to put into action the things you tell us to do…we have to take steps of faith…we can’t let the seeds of doubt, despair and discouragement take over and crowd out your promises, truth and guidance.

You never said this life would be easy, but you said your grace would see us through…so many are going through such very, very hard things, Lord…you see all and feel everything they feel… you know where each one is at…there are things that only you can comfort…there are things that only you are strong enough and powerful enough to help them overcome…please touch each person who is screaming on the inside, afraid to share the thoughts in their head…the ones who just are so done with life…the one’s who just long for a break from the struggles…the ones who just don’t know how to keep hanging on…

You have the answers that we can’t begin to have…we know that if you can bring new life and hope from the cross and the heinous things that Jesus went through, you can do the same from the horrible situations that those among us are dealing with… we lay our burdens, cares and pain on your altar…we give you everything that is beyond us…every situation that is wrong, unfair and has no options…we ask for your angel armies to surround those who need protecting. We ask for your Holy Spirit to comfort those who are crushed in spirit and we ask you to bring healing to those who are feeling broken in body, mind or spirit…we are asking in faith believing that you are still the God of the impossible, The Alpha and Omega, The Creator of All and The Great I Am and nothing is impossible for you…we ask these things in Jesus’ name and we thank you in advance for all you will do. Amen

May you be filled with His hope, comfort and peace!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For May 14th

May 14, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for today…we thank you for the gift of life…we thank you for our mothers and for all who have poured into our lives with their love, support and encouragement…please bless them in ways they can’t imagine…

Lord, you know that for so many, Mother’s Day is difficult…for many their mother is not in their life …some didn’t have a good relationship with their mom and today is just a painful reminder of that fact… for others they are estranged or they never knew their mom…for many their mother’s are in heaven…some are struggling at this moment watching as their mother’s health is declining…for all who are struggling with grief or sadness today, we ask for your peace and comfort to rest upon them…we especially ask for your comfort for those who are experiencing their first Mother’s Day without their loved ones. Lord, please touch each heart as only you can…you are the only one who can truly fill those broken, hurting places.

We lift up to you as well, the mothers who are grieving for their children who are in heaven … for the moms who are without their children for other reasons…for the mother’s who are estranged from their children and grandchildren…for the women who have longed to be a mother, but have empty arms…for the mother’s who have children who are terminally ill or who are dealing with chronic illness, disabilities or addictions…may every hurting heart feel your nearness today and may they find comfort knowing you see every tear that is shed and hear their prayers even when they are so heartbroken words won’t come …you are the God of all compassion and you grieve with those who grieve and you are as close as a heartbeat away.

Lord, we also pray for single parents…the single mothers and the fathers who serve as both dad and mom…it can be so difficult to parent alone…may they find comfort knowing they are seen by you…you see all the struggles and you are aware more than anyone else all they sacrifice for their children… please help them when they are weary and overwhelmed…be their provider, helpmate, source of encouragement and strength…

Thank you Lord, for your unconditional love for us … we pray for every person who feels unloved, unwanted, or abandoned… especially today…we pray they would look to you to fill the empty places in their lives…please remind them that you have known them by name since they were in their mother’s womb… your thoughts for them are more than the grains of sand and they have infinite worth and value in your eyes…we thank you that your unconditional love is the greatest love we will ever know…Thank you for our many blessings…please meet every need, spoken and unspoken and we pray for your blessing and favor to be upon mothers every where. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen!

Blessings to you all!
Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For May 4th

May 4, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

On this National Day of Prayer in the U.S., we join together to intercede for our country, for our leaders and for the world at large. You tell us if we will humble ourselves and pray and seek your face and turn from our wicked ways, then you will hear from heaven and You will forgive our sin and heal our land. Lord, we are humbling ourselves before you and crying out to you…we ask for your mercy and forgiveness… please forgive us for all the ways that we have turned away from you, your truth, your laws  and your commandments…we ask for your divine intervention and ask you to do what only you can to do to get us back on track.

The things that divide us have never been so apparent…there are spiritual battles raging across the earth and in realms we can’t yet see…things that are bad, are being called good and things that are good, are being called bad…we ask for an outpouring of your Holy Spirit…may there be revival in our families, in our communities, in our nation and around the world. May the changes we want to see start with each of us….We pray for those who are being persecuted for their faith…we pray for all who are suffering and in need…help us to see each other through your eyes and may hope rise like a phoenix as we turn our hearts towards you.

We pray against the evil that is rising in our world. We pray for our enemies and all who only want to cause chaos and harm…may they come to know you as The One True Living God…may they turn from their  destructive ways…we know many around the world are having dreams and seeing visions of Jesus and being saved…we ask that multitudes will have their eyes opened to who You are and put You in your rightful place in their lives.

Please heal and restore our land…we pray for peace and that civility, kindness, compassion and “loving our neighbors as ourselves” will be the things that prevail when discussing our differences and trying to bridge the gaps that divide and separate us…we pray that being an honest person of integrity and good character and living a life pleasing to you will be what all of our citizens and those who govern aspire to.

We are grateful that no matter what changes may take place, you remain the unshakeable rock on which we stand…you are the same yesterday, today and forever… your love never ends, never runs out and never turns away…you are ever patient, loving and kind, wishing that no one would perish without knowing you and being saved. Please do a mighty work, Lord. We are grateful that we can ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen
Blessings be upon you and our country.
Debbie

Prayer For May 1st

May 1, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,
We want to start this new week with our eyes on you, praise on our lips and gratitude in our hearts for who You are and all You do for us…The Bible tells us You are the creator of all things…You are our hope…You are the maker of heaven and earth…You are forever faithful…You uphold the oppressed…You feed the hungry…You set the prisoners free…You give sight to the blind…You love the righteous…You sustain the fatherless and the widow…You frustrate the way of the wicked…You are our God forever…thank you, Lord…we are so grateful to know you are with us and for us and there is nothing that can snatch us from your hand…
When we keep our minds focused on you everything seems so clear…the things of this world like fear, anxiety and worry fade away…we can be at peace because we know that you are on the throne and fully in control. We realize it doesn’t matter how big the giants are before us, because we know You stand beside us.

Lord, may we start this week with renewed vision of your power and authority…may we remember that we are yours and with your help, we are well equipped to handle anything that comes our way.   By calling on Christ’s name, we are given the power to vanquish our fears, to overcome the evil one and to overcome any temptation. You are faithful to deliver and faithful to provide and no one can stop you from achieving your purpose and will in our lives.
We ask for your Spirit to fill us and your grace to be upon us. May we find you to be our refuge and our source of comfort and peace.  May your light guide us and your Word encourage us . Please give us your strength and the energy that is needed to do all that is before us this week. We thank you in advance for all you will do.  In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.May your week be abundantly blessed friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For April 30th

April 30, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today we pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who are being persecuted for their faith…we lift up those who cannot pray, worship, or speak your name in public without risk of persecution, jail, or death…please intervene on their behalf …make a way where there seems to be no way for their deliverance…please help us to  not take for granted our freedoms that allow us to worship freely, to gather together with other believers, to own a Bible and to speak your name and praises openly…

Please help us to empty ourselves of things that are not pleasing to you…purge us of things that cloud our vision and judgement…help us to take spiritual inventory to see where we need to change… we often have good intentions, yet we end up not doing what we need to do, and doing what we shouldn’t be doing…we want to spend more time with you…we want to read more…pray more…worship more…serve more… love better… be better …and then the next thing we know, we look back and  see the road littered with good intentions that never became what we had hoped or envisioned…please help us to overcome and persevere and become the men and women you want us to be.

Please help us to let go of the “what ifs”, the “if onlys”, the regrets, the failures, the disappointments, the heartaches and all the things that we can’t change…help us not to waste another day beating ourselves up emotionally, mentally or spiritually…we can’t change the past, but things are not wasted if we can learn from them…help us to extract the lessons from the failures, regrets and pain…help us harvest what we can and let go of the rest so we can make the most of this day and all the days to come…help us to see all we have been through with your eyes…you know what we lack, what will motivate us, what will heal us, how to guide us…we ask for your help to live victoriously, to live confidently as your children, to enjoy the freedom you bought for us, to be full of your peace and aware of our blessings…

Father, help us to make the most of this day and all the days we have left…help us to be still at your feet and find rest in your presence…we surrender all that we are and all that we hope to be and ask for your will to be done. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen

Praying blessings upon you!

Much love in Him,
Debbie
