Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

How wonderful and majestic are your works! There is none like you We are so blessed to call you our Healer, our Provider, our Savior and our Friend.

Lord, many of us carry around layers of pain and issues that we have not dealt with. We don’t realize that when we don’t face our grief, or if we just try to bury our past, that it doesn’t just go away…everything just accumulates and makes dealing with each new loss that much harder. We are complex beings. We absorb things that are around us… perceptions, thoughts, ideas, hurts and influences that are both good and bad. Lord, we pray that you will strip away the layers of hurt and pain…shame and regret…fear and anxiety…rejection and longing…unhealthy, destructive thoughts and desires, and all the unmet expectations that have piled up in our lives. We pray for cleansing and healing Lord. We pray that as these things are stripped away and healed, that we can see your beauty shining forth from us. Just like diamonds are created under pressure, we know you are doing that same work in us Lord. You are refining us into something of infinite worth and value in your eyes.

Lord, we know that sin, negative thoughts and hurts that are not dealt with do damage and erode and eat away at many aspects of our lives. It happens ever so subtly and sometimes, we are unaware of the damage being done until it’s too late. Help us Lord to be perceptive. Keep us from being complacent. Help us to remove the things in our lives that seem harmless, but over time do damage and take bits and pieces of us away that we can’t get back. Help us to overcome Lord. Please impart your wisdom and knowledge to us. Make us sensitive to your voice and guiding hand, so we might change the things that need to be changed in our and be healed.

Lord, we are not gathered here by accident, but by divine appointment. You are longing for us to find hope, renewed faith and healing. You are longing to change us from battle weary warriors to overcoming conquerors. You are trying to lovingly take away the stumbling blocks in our lives that keep us from intimately knowing you. Lord, help us trust you for our healing. Help us trust you for our needs. We give you this new week and commit it to your hands. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Blessings, hugs and love to you all!
Debbie
