Prayer For Sept. 13th

September 12, 2023

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being all we need…for being the answer to every prayer…for being our provider, hope, and ever-present source of help and strength.

Please help us learn to trust you and your timing…trust that as our Shepherd and Way-Maker, you can make roadways in the wilderness, streams in the desert, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Thank you for your promise to provide all we need and for your assurance that your angels are encamped about those who fear you. We are grateful we are never alone, forsaken, forgotten, or without your help. Thank you for your promises, your faithfulness, and for being our stability and safe sanctuary.

Thank you for all the times you have intervened on our behalf when we were unaware. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who’s guiding us and your angel armies surrounding us. Thank you for all you do for us, Father. We are grateful your ways are above our own and that your plans for us are better than what we can begin to think, dream, or imagine. We praise you, thank you, and give you glory and honor for all you do and all you are. Please be glorified in us and through us this day. In the name of our Savior, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Blessings be upon you, friends!

In His love
Debbie

Prayer For Sept. 12th

September 12, 2023

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for another opportunity to gather and pray. There are so many needs among us, Abba… most of us have multiple friends and family members who are in hard, sad places. Our hearts hurt for those we know who are hurting. We wish we could shelter those we love from pain and loss…we long to give them the rest their bodies and minds desperately need, but we are so limited in what we can do. If we could, we would gladly ease their burdens, but some burdens we can’t lift or carry…only you can. So, Abba, we ask for your help and divine intervention today for all who are injured…for all who are dealing with drawn-out illnesses…for all who are in hospice care…for all who are ill while caring for others…for all who are grieving…for all who are dealing with more than one thing at once…for all who need a miracle…for all who need provision…Abba, may each one feel your strength in their weakness. May they feel your peace envelop them and see signs of your nearness.

Father, many are saying goodbye to multiple people simultaneously. Their hearts are so broken, their sadness is overwhelming, and they are so emotionally tired…You are the God who sees, and You can help them in ways we can’t. We are grateful you are with each of our loved ones in their time of need and in all that lies ahead. We are thankful you can heal what we can’t, be where we can’t be, and be everything that is needed, not just today but every day to come.

Please bless everyone who is praying this prayer. Meet them where they are today, Lord. Thank you for our Savior, who ensured that death, pain, suffering, and losses do not have the last word. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for interceding when our hearts are heavy and words won’t come. We place everyone we know and love, and all that concerns them in your hands. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you for being our Healer, Comforter, Refuge, and Redeemer. We thank you in advance for all you will do. We give you all praise, glory, and honor as we ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Sending blessings, hugs, and love to you, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Sept. 11th

September 11, 2023

This is known as The World Trade Center Cross and the Ground Zero Cross. It is a group of steel beams found among the debris of the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan, New York City, following the September 11 attacks. I post this picture each year to serve as a reminder that Jesus sends signs of His nearness even in the darkest of times.

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Today, we once again remember the tragic events in 2001. That day changed our whole world in so many ways. We saw the worst in humanity and the best all at once. Most of us have forever etched images in our minds that remind us of the shock, horror, pain, and loss we felt and the incredible acts of selflessness, kindness, sacrifice, and unconditional love we witnessed that day and the days after.

Lord, we pray for all who lost loved ones because of the events on 9/11/2001. We pray for comfort for families and people everywhere who feel a sense of sadness, loss, and grief. We pray for all who have lost loved ones, their homes, and their way of life due to terrorism, persecution, and violence.

We ask for your healing hand to be on all whose health has been affected because they were responders to this tragedy. So many suffer the physical effects of all the chemicals, dust, and pollutants they were subjected to and have PTSD from all they saw and experienced. Please bless each one and their families for their sacrifices, and we ask you to provide for their every need. We pray that all the brave people who wear a uniform and serve will be forever recognized as the heroes they are. May our world never forget their bravery, courage, and selflessness and how they rush toward danger to protect and serve as others run away.

Father, the events of 9-11 remind us we live in a fallen world full of evil and pain. We pray our nation and the world will again have that sense of unity that we all felt in the days and weeks after 9-11. May we once again overcome evil with good and love our neighbors as ourselves. We pray for your Spirit to move mightily in our world.

We are grateful for the signs you give us to remind us of your nearness and faithfulness. This 9-11 cross reminds us that because of Jesus, there is redemption, salvation, and hope….that evil and death do not have the last word…You do. We are thankful that there is coming a day when there will be no more evil, sin, tears, pain, suffering, loss, or death. We thank you for the promise of all that is to come for those who believe. We thank you for our Savior Jesus, in whose mighty name we pray. Amen

May you feel His comfort and nearness today, friends.

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For May 14th

May 14, 2023

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for another opportunity to gather in prayer. This day is meant to be a day of celebration and a chance to honor and thank the special women in our lives…but you know better than anyone there are so many who find this day to be painful and sad. We are so thankful you know our struggles, even when others don’t.

You know each person who didn’t have a good relationship with their mom…all who are estranged from or never knew their mother…all who are missing or grieving the loss of a loved one, and each one who is hurting because their loved one is ill or in declining health.

You see all the mothers who have lost children…all who are estranged…all the women who have longed to be a mother but have empty arms…all the mothers who have children who are terminally ill or are dealing with chronic illness, disabilities, or addictions…

You see the single parents who serve as both mom and dad and all who have become caregivers to their mothers. You care about everyone who feels unloved, unwanted, and abandoned. Your Word says even if a mother were to forget her child, you would never forget us. We are grateful that we are loved, cherished, and adored by you for now and evermore.

Father, we ask for your peace and comfort for all who are struggling with sadness, loneliness, grief, or loss today. Please be their source of strength and help. We especially ask for your comfort for all experiencing their first Mother’s Day without a loved one. You are the only one who can fill and heal the broken, empty places in our lives. Please touch each hurting heart as only you can.

Thank you for our moms, grandmothers, aunts, cousins, siblings, friends, and all the people you have placed in our lives who have nurtured, loved, mentored, encouraged, prayed, helped, and blessed us. We are grateful for each one. We are so thankful, Father, that one day we will get to be together again with those who have gone before us. The older we get and the more people we lose, the more we appreciate the blessings of family and friends. We are so thankful for the wonderful reunion that awaits. Thank you, Father, for all you give, all you do, all you are, and all that is to come. Thank you for our most precious gift and treasure, our Savior Jesus. We ask these things in His name. Amen.

May the Lord’s blessings be upon you, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For May 4th

May 4, 2023

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We join together on this National Day of Prayer and ask for your help, divine intervention, grace, and mercy. The Bible says blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the faithful, fervent prayers of the righteous does much good. We humble ourselves before you individually and collectively, Father, and ask you to forgive our sins and heal our land. Please take your rightful place in our lives, homes, communities, churches, countries, and world.

As believers, we know who is ultimately behind the division, darkness, deceptiveness, destruction, lawlessness, chaos, and devastation we see playing out before us. In the name of our Savior Jesus, we ask for your truth and righteousness to prevail and for evil to be exposed, cast out, and overcome with good. You are the only one who can open blind eyes, change lives, bring good from bad, peace from chaos, unity where there’s division, beauty from ashes, and new life from death. We know where our help comes from, so we look to you, our Father, The Maker of Heaven and Earth. Please do what only you can do. We humbly ask you to have mercy on us, Lord, and deliver us from the plans and snares of the evil one.

Please bring hope, change, restoration, renewal, freedom, peace, and healing. May your love prevail and permeate every area of our lives and societies. We ask for your Holy Spirit to move in such a supernatural, miraculous way that there will be no doubt or denying it is the work of your hand alone. We pray the revival and spiritual awakenings that started a few months ago will grow and continue to spread and expand.

It has never been more apparent that our country and world are in an epic spiritual battle. We could pray for hours, Father…there is so much that needs your divine attention and intervention, but you know all and see all, and you know all that is on our hearts. You know everything that concerns us and is causing us stress and sorrow, personally and collectively. You understand the silent groanings of our hearts when the pain is deep and words won’t come…

Please help us be strong and courageous, to gird ourselves with your promises and truth, to fight the good fight, and be faithful in prayer and intercession. Please guard our hearts and minds and help us be lights in the darkness that point the way to you. We pray for your will to be done, not our own, and we thank you in advance for all you will do. In the mighty and powerful name of our Savior and Messiah, Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.

May God bless you, keep you, and make His face shine on you, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For April 14th

April 14, 2023

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the blessing of seeing another day. Please help us find moments of joy in this day. Please help us let go of the tensions, stresses, and petty things that steal our joy and make us blind to the miracles and blessings surrounding us. Help us make mental notes and capture mental snapshots of all of the small acts of kindness we experience…all the smiles, love, and laughter we share with others…all of the small victories of survival, progress, and growth we experience but tend to overlook because we’re too focused on the bigger things. Please help us focus on all the things we have to be grateful for instead of all that we lack and all that is wrong.

This day will never come again. Help us not to waste today worrying about the future. Your Word says your grace will be enough to see us through this day, and we don’t have to worry about tomorrow. Your grace will be sufficient tomorrow, and you will provide for us tomorrow as you do for us today. We waste so much time and allow trivial and insignificant things to rob us of so much. Help us be more mindful of our time, relationships, the things we allow into our thoughts and lives, the things we value, and the things we invest ourselves in. Help us order our days and live each day as though it were our last.

Thank you for the many ways you bless us. Thank you for the people you’ve put in our lives who make life more meaningful. We are grateful, above all else, for Jesus and all He has done for us. We dedicate this day to you, Abba. May your will be done in us and through us. In the name of our Savior, Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.

May you and your day be richly blessed, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For April 13th

April 13, 2023

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Our Father,

Thank you for the stories in your Word that show the flaws as well as the faith of people you used mightly. When we read about Moses, David, Rahab, Judah, and the apostles, we see clearly how you forgive, cleanse, change, renew, and restore people to a right relationship with you. We’re told everything written in your Word is to encourage us and give us hope. We’re so thankful for your forgiveness…grateful that you don’t give up on us…thankful that no one is ever too lost to find you…that no person’s past is so dark you can’t redeem and use them…that you see in us what no one else can. We’re grateful that you see in each of us the good, the potential, and what is possible through you. Thank you for loving those that society would shun…thank you for being a God of second chances, redemption, restoration, mercy, and grace.

Thank you, Father, for taking our sins, weaknesses, faults, and failings and washing us clean in the blood of Jesus. Thank you for clothing us with your righteousness. Thank you for taking our brokenness and pain and transforming it into something that has a purpose. We may not see how beauty can rise from what seems broken and beyond repair, but what you did before, you still do. We are grateful that as long as we have breath, our stories aren’t over, and the possibilities for miracles exist.

Thank you for the unseen things you are doing in our lives and in the lives of those we love. May stories of redemption continually prompt us to faithfully lift others in prayer. You don’t give up on us. Help us not to give up on others. Please help us remember that things aren’t over until you say they are over, and you are the same miracle-working God of redemption, hope, and restoration you have always been. We praise you and thank you for all you are and all you do. With gratitude, we pray today, in the name of Jesus our Lord, Savior, Messiah, and Risen King. Amen.

May you be filled with His hope, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For April 12th

April 12, 2023

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for being our defender and protector. Your Word says you will cover us with your wing, and your faithfulness will protect and defend us…when we are in trouble, you will be with us… you will rescue, reward, and save all who call on you and acknowledge you. May your promises comfort those feeling drained, overwhelmed, and battle-weary today.

Abba, please help us remember we are held by you, and you care about all that concerns us. We are grateful every drop of spilled blood is precious to you. Every shed tear matters to you. You grieve with those who grieve and comfort all who mourn. We’re thankful one day, you will make right every form of injustice, and everything that is hidden in the dark will be revealed by your light. We look forward to the day when truth and righteousness prevail, evil will be permanently vanquished, and we will dwell in safety and peace in your house forever.

Please help us be confident and find rest in what you’ve taught and shown us. Please help us push back against the darkness with the light and truth of your promises. May the words of your mouth be the meditation of our hearts. Please help us remember there is power in your name and the blood of Jesus. May these words calm our hearts and soothe our minds today. May your joy be our strength as we look to you in all things and for all things. In the name of our Savior, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

May you feel His presence and nearness today!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For April 11th

April 11, 2023

Hello Friends! I felt like maybe someone could use this prayer again today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for waking us this morning. Please help us live this day with a healthy mindset and attitude. You tell us to take our thoughts captive and to think about true, right, and lovely things so we can have your peace. Please help us improve at doing this so it becomes more automatic. When our inner dialogue is negative, or when we dwell on the hurtful things said or done by others, please remind us to replace those thoughts with the truth of your Word.

Please help us remember we are fearfully and wonderfully made in your image, and we don’t have to be ashamed or apologize to anyone for how you’ve made us. Help us boldly speak your truth to ourselves. Help us remember that you say we are able, capable, useful, and equipped for the plans you have made for us. You delight in us and call us beloved. We are grateful that Jesus sets us free not only from sin and death but from the bondage, snares, and lies of the enemy. Please, Holy Spirit, transform our minds so we are free from being a slave to our thoughts or the opinions of others…help us remember that whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

We are thankful you have gone before us, and you walk with us, surround us, and sustain us. May these be the truths we cling to and remind ourselves of today. We pray we will feel your confidence, strength, courage, and peace flow through us so we can keep running our races empowered with your strength, grace, and power. We give you all praise, glory, and honor and thank you in advance for all you will do. We ask these things in the name of our Savior, Jesus. Amen.

May you have a blessed and peaceful day, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For April 10th

April 10, 2023

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Abba Father,

We are grateful that you have allowed us to see another day. We are so thankful that nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, can separate us from your love. We are humbled to know there is nothing we can do or not do to make you love us more or less. It’s so comforting to know that it doesn’t matter who comes against us, rejects us, condemns us, or turns their backs on us…you are with us and for us, and have given us right standing and your glory through Jesus.

On hard days, please help us remember that Jesus said you were in Him, He is in you, and He is in us, so we can be perfectly united. We are so incredibly grateful that those who are united with you are adopted by you. Thank you for giving us your Spirit to confirm we are no longer slaves to sin or to this world, but we have become heirs to your kingdom and have the right and privilege to call you Abba Father. Please help us be always mindful that your Spirit and glory are within us, and it is no longer us who live but Christ who lives within us. We have so much to be thankful for and look forward to. Thank you for your comfort, encouragement, and gifts the world can’t give or take away.

We love you, Abba. Thank you for saving us, redeeming us, and calling us your own. We are grateful for the many ways you show your love and care for us. With humble hearts and in the name of our beloved Savior Jesus, we offer up our praise this day. Amen.

May you bask in His love for you today, friends!

Always in Him,
Debbie
